Frogster and Runewaker Entertainment have announced that Runes of Magic is adding even more content to its recent Chapter III publish, in the form of tomorrow's 3.0.3 update. The patch boasts an entirely new zone, the Northern Janost Forest, which also adds over 100 new quests to the free-to-play fantasy title. In addition to the new high-level content, the player level cap is being raised to 60.
The patch is also introducing a new relationship system whereby players can bind themselves as lovers, friends, or as a master and an apprentice. Each pairing grants buffs to players when grouped with their significant others, and marriage is also possible via a wedding ring and a special chapel in the city of Varanas.
Finally, Frogster is implementing a new beginner pet to ease the newbie transition into the world of Taborea. The pet manifests itself in the form of a pixie and grants buffs and heals in addition to providing gameplay hints.

Interesting concept to make marriage actually have an affect to stats in game, will be neat to see how that plays out.

The real question is:
Will they allow same-sex marriages?
Will they allow same-sex marriages?

"that" being the whole relationship (marriage between any two people, families, friends, mentors) system, which is more comprehensive than I've seen in other games so far.

So, is RoM worth playing? I hear its a pretty decent WoW clone.

Other than that they're both pretty damn solid, well crafted games, I wouldn't call it a WoW clone. They're different enough that you could be dissapointed if you came to RoM wearing WoW-coloured glasses. But hell yeah, RoM's well worth your time.

Absolutely worth playing. There are definitely some strong WoW elements in the game, but overall I find RoM to be much more fun to play and a much more interesting and engaging game. Of course that's not hard since I find WoW to be completely one dimensional and way oversimplified.
The bad parts of RoM are buggy content (I actually haven't seen any myself, but it a recurring theme on the forums) and a significant investment at the end game, in either time or money (you pick).
Personally this is my go-to themepark game right now and I am totally hooked. I actually quit WoW to play it I liked it so much more.

They fixed the PVP servers yet?

RoM is one of the best F2P MMORPGs... if you don't mind sucking balls if you don't cash shop. The game is very very cash shop oriented. If you were lucky (to play on a server since day 1) and buy diamonds while they were cheap you can have a chance at decent equipment.

The patch for 3.0.3 has horribly nailed casters hard by instituting not only a static cost of mana for an ability/spell - but also a % mana use as well.
Basically. healers (druids, priests) are having a massively hard time healing in instances where they didn't have problems even with large mana pools - when you've statted using the cash shop using Wisdom/Intelligence it gets more than a little frustrating to realize all the $ you've put into the game for your gear at the high end is now useless, as the mana pool you've built for now disappears just as quick as someones who has a much smaller mana pool.
Lots of mages/healers are furious. I don't blame them.

The mana change was already rolled back.
You don't have to cash shop in order to not suck. I would suggest a mount, though.Try running instances and putting forth effort.
As for RoM vs. WoW, RoM's community is actually more tolerable than WoW's. Less "your mom" and the like, on top of the fact that it has similar content, is free, and has a dual class system. Crafting takes time, but superior proc possibilities make it fun. Havent seen the infamous buggy content myself. But in that respect, WoW doesn't really have any bragging rights either.
