They should do something about the server imbalances first.

What they can do to fix them, I don't know. The damage is already done.

I don't see how the server imbalance can be fixed. Nobody likes losing. Who in his right mind would say "Yay, I'm starting Aion today and let's see.. I think I'll join the faction that always get beat up and overrun in pvp"

It's not like this is Counter-Strike where the game will automatically balance both teams each round to ensure there isn't 8 counter-terrorists and only 2 terrorists.

At the very least, NCSoft should offer the losing side temporary bonuses, such as higher exp rate, more kinah, etc.

Servers will never be balanced since there is not enough Asmos. It's funny they didn't do anything until finally the Asmos dominated a server. Even patch 2.0 won't save them for long. Maybe it will bring back people for a month until they see it's still the same lame drops over and over and dungeon grind of no drops.

Why wipe the test server, doesn't it make more sense to have characters testing the content at all levels? Didn't even get to say goodbye to my two test characters. Oh well, I won't bother with any more. NCWest ignores the player base anyway, why even have a test server.

Wasn't the primary benefit of the PvPvE concept an attempt to compensate for unbalanced factions? If so, it sounds like it failed miserably. I was initially hoping that Balaur would randomly spawn like Bane in Tabula Rasa. It would be even cooler if they were attracted to large groups -- like PvP ganking parties roaming the countryside -- and only attack the faction with local superiority.

That is exactly what the Balaur should have been, and pretty much what I was expecting. I thought they'd be very active and fortress sieges would most often be groups of both Asmodians and Elyos attacking Balaur controlled forts, with the two human controlled sides having to work together at first, fighting through to the heart of the fortress, then picking the right time to fight both Balaur and the other faction for actual control. Once a fort was taken, it would be a matter of trying to hold it against hordes of Balaur and perhaps players from the other side as well.

Based on the end of beta events, I was also expecting Balaur mini-invasions of the other zones as well. Fighting the Balaur in Morheim was a lot of fun, especially when the Elyos showed up in the middle of it and we had groups fighting both. There were even Mau wandering just outside Altgard Fortress we needed to hunt down (none made it inside during the main part of the attack, at least not at the gate I was helping defend).

Not to mention I thought rifting would be much more restricted, so that people leveling wouldn't be constantly ganked by high level rifters.

Didn't really get any of that, just lazy Balaur, no mini-invasions, and lots of ganking.

I think they deleted the database to hide the lack of new content for endgame. Three new instances and one ground abyss is no content. None will be 55 in 2 weeks even with the inceased XP rates, so no one will be able to "test" the lack of content before the 2.0 is released.

Maybe its just because the chars will be replaced by premades for everyone as the Community Coordinator mentioned allready.
But heck what does a WoW fanboy pretending to have/had some relation to this game care about such details while hes spreading some slander about the latest popular MMO...

Not sure where you read that, Lorem. There are no premades.

Also, resorting to calling someone that is obviously not a WoW player a fanboy, is pathetic.
