Its been quite awhile since Aventurine first sat down for a community-based question and answer session with noted Darkfall blogger Paragus. Today, he brings us part two of the lengthy interview, which features a whopping 57 questions generated by Darkfall players. As you would expect, some of the answers are short and fluffy, but many are quite informative as to the future of the PvP sandbox title.
Stashed away inside the deluge of queries are a few gems about upcoming content, including mention of the cryptically titled Darkfall 2010 project. "[It] comes after the next expansion and is a much bigger proposition. Darkfall 2010 is our internal code name for this project. Our intent is to have it complete within the year, but we can't rule out that it will take longer than that. We've been working on this for quite a while, it's parallel development to Darkfall and almost as big a project as making a new game," Aventurine says.
Aside from that teaser, there is also talk of prestige classes, performance improvements, and the long-awaited four-legged running feature for the mahirim race. Sadly, it seems as if this particular fan wish isn't going to be granted anytime soon, despite the assets already existing in the live game. "Our main problem is that it is an unbalancing factor," says Aventurine.

Wow, seems like EVE and Darkfall are the only two games trying to advance MMO games and not trying to copy one another like all the mainstream MMOs.
There is some amazing stuff mentioned in there. Kinda worried about the stability of the game though. People are still having problems with FR drops every 30 seconds that got added in a Dec or Jan patch.

Just came back to Darkfall, great game. It's kind of the answer to what i've been game hopping for.
Although there are frustrations and it does require time. It's definitely under-rated.
If anyone reads this that hasn't tried it, you might as well do so with the free trial.
It's one of the few games where I have truly cared about 'my' character and the world that I belong to.
give it a go.

Hmm, the unbalancing statement seems to sloppy for a good answer, i would bet it has more to do with time and resources to implement.
offsetting penalties being what they are, carrying space as opposed to none and maybe a just slightly slower gait, would appear to cancel out the unbalance argument.

Darkfall is an excellent game, you just have to take the time to invest in your character. Once you're up and going though there's no other games like it, it's kinda like uo in some ways back when uo was decent (pre uor).
You should try it out with the free trials not even needing a credit card you have nothing to lose.

Darkfall has its pros and cons...I've been playing for about 2 months now, once you settle in a clan that suits you and you become pvp viable its a blood rushing experience no other game has givin me
