As you scour the wastelands in Fallen Earth, most likely you're taking advantage of the situation by getting yourself a vehicle. Not just any vehicle -- you want something that's flashy, functional, and durable. A fair amount of storage would help, too. Yet for all the options given to players, you've been largely restricted to the main colors of the game world for your new roadster until now. The first phase of color customization is hitting the live servers tomorrow, and it brings with it the option to pay a Garage Manager a fee and pimp your ride with a nice new paint job.
Four paint and dye kits are being added to the crafting of dyes, with each one working on a different range of vehicles and offering the same selection of colors. On top of that, there are eight additional kits of higher rarity -- three of which are found out in the world, and five of which are crafted from new rare components. While our preview gallery doesn't seem to include Safety Orange, Hot Pink, or Powder Blue among its selection, you can take a look to see just how slick your Fallen Earth wheels will look after the patch.

I really need to give this game a try. It has such a cool community and dev perspective.

I played in the beta..and frankly the lack of much color and living in a vast waste land was depressing. You can still do post holocaust ..with color.

I was in the beta also, just starter tonight the 14 day come-back thing it looks significantly better now. The graphic update/upgrade whatever has made a difference in what I'm seeing (it also runs waaaaaay better then what I'd experienced before). Doing the extended tutorial thing. So far I'd definitely advise people to give the trial a go.

Have you ever since the after effects of a nuclear disaster? It's not pink bunnies and rainbows, man.

Nuclear holocaust, it's a common term. Also I can't wait to use a hot pink dunebuggy.

the lack of color reflects the lack of fun stuff to do in the game.

Tho much of the game is PvP oriented, there are other things to do. And as far as I can tell the devs are putting some time into PvE(no real source here, just overall feel of the communities wishes). The game is fun, at least I thought so. Currently not playing but my sub money is on the sideline's should FFXIV flop.

Blast, I clicked submit too fast. Anyway it's about time they show the wastelanders some love in terms of options for vehicles. Some of the vehicles are naturally cool looking. Others like the motorcycle really need some love. The color options are a good start in my opinion.
