I agree, bland isnt correct.

Beautiful lands, excellent ambiance, all pulled down by grinding and grindy quests, ill though out crafting, reward for effort disparity, no scaling, content unaccessable to the average paying player. (raiding required)

Now, if your in a guild, like raids, like group (zerg) pvp, like the current instanced player cities(why they arent in the regular world is beyond me), like grinding mediocre rep rewards, then this game is for you.

You wont achieve any type of hero status, or even feel what Conan achieved in his books or magazines, but you will be slathered with copious amounts of group play of all types that mesh beautifully with AOC's money model.

This game will go free to pay with an online store in under two years or sooner, my prediction. Any bets?

I opened my subscriptionto this game because I heard all of the improvements made....after 3 days ..i canceled again. This game is so flawed in my opinion. Zero balance of the classes....the worst community of any game I have ever played. For a "Mature" rated game to have such a high percentage of imature is absurd. More trash in chat then the landfills of Ohio can handle.
The PvP is still gankville....no one plays with any sense of honor in regards to PvP. I have no problem with killing people....but to spawn camp shows zero class....and to kill the same person over and over again is ludicrious.
Funcom - do yourself a favor and pull the plug on this and learn from your mistakes before you release Perfect World.

So, you played for a couple of days on a PvP server, got ganked in Tortage (probably White Sands or Underhalls) and then quit, blaming the game.

Sorry but you wasted your own time then. Were the people in your guild helpful? No, you didn't join one did you? So you based your opinion of the community on a few juvenile fools in global. If you want to have a decent time on a pvp server you need to join up with a guild. You could also have tried out one of the PvE servers where the community on the whole is a lot better. Getting past level 10 might give you a better idea of how the class balance is too.

Also, it's called Secret World.

Jef........

"My cloak whips to and fro in the hefty breeze",

that single sentence dropped me out of the story's ambiance. (grin)

Yes, the Global Chat in Age of Conan is chock full of morons -- but the actual players I've encountered (who, like me, turn off Global and don't waste their time with the mouth-breathers) have been reasonable to downright friendly.

Rule One of most MMORPGs is "Turn off the Global/Zone chat equivalent if you can't stand idiots" anyway, right?

What you see in-game tends seems to depend on where (and how) you're looking.
