Please please dear mythic bring us some SKAVEN, they are the only thing that could draw me away from my beloved Ironbreaker.

Do they ever plan on nerfing bright wizards or better yet buffing Sorcs, until they do I will never resub to WAR. Love the game but got sick of being one shot by BWs all the time in rvr.

Raven, i read that freakin' update notes page 3 times trying to find something... It's THE class above all that needs to be taken down a peg. They're not even touching them. It's fucking ridiculous. The other stuff are welcome changes but BW is utterly overpowered and they aren't going to change that it looks.

you two have no clue what you're talking about do you?

A. They're nothing the AOE resist debuff Chosen and Knight's have, That basically is a damage decrease for BW's/Sorcs

B. They're removing Close Quarters from them, that's a flat out 25% damage reduction for the PBAE specs

That's in this patch alone.

"Hefty amount of content" ... whahahaha! You do realise that there are now 2 years since last NEW content update. The rest has just been changes removals or "balancing".

If WAR is planning something - then its defently gonna be announched at the same time they tell us its going free to play.

I don't think WAR will free to play. But that my thoughts. Pretty much they taking there time to fix a lot of problems in the game and eventually give some new content down the road.

The hate W:AoR receives on this site is absurd...especially when measured against the unqualified love LotRO and Fallen Earth receive here.

W:AoR simply has the best gcd pvp going, and one of the best communities. I left the game frustrated last year, but since Jacobs got the boot the game is moving in the right direction.

I recently re-subbed(less then a month ago) and it's still pretty fun, but it's true, T2/T3 is pretty well dead/broke, if this fixes it I'll probably stick around until XIV otherwise I'm probably done again... Still bothers me thinking about how many servers they launched with... that one decision screwed the game from day 1 so badly...

I remember that. I think it was a case of WoW envy or something. I remember that even during the peak of launch half the servers were empty. Its a bad habit Mythic brought over from DAoC.

If anyone remembers when the 'classic' servers were released, one server was completely dead, one was half dead and only one actually was full beyond the first day. Even I could see that they only needed a single classic server but they buckled under pressure and opened two more when all they had to do was wait a week for the coolness factor to wear off and the population to settle down.

I am really happy to see the direction WAR is moving. But I think it might be too little too late for me. Every time I get the urge to subscribe I check to see if BW's have been nerfed and when I see they haven't I move on. Although its nice to see the armor appearance thing and the sovereign armor split and the T2/T3 attention.

Two things need to happen for me to resub.

1. Nerf BW's and buff the uneven destruction class pairings.

2. Create a scenario queue for SOLO PLAYERS ONLY. Nothing is worse than having a GG vs a PUG in a scenario. Like it or not, the solo player is here to stay.

I quit soon after launch due to frequent CTDs (strangely they only happened in the morning) I definitely would re-sub if the price dropped to $10 a month. As it stands right now I pop in on a trial account every few weeks, and once every year or so I buy a 30 day time card at Wal-Mart. (do they still carry them?) I have an unused one that I bought last winter. Maybe I'll use it when the new patch goes live.

You're bad at math. The game released 2 years ago. Land of the Dead came out last year. So at most, it's been 1 year since a major new content introduction that wasn't a Live Event, if that's how you're defining content.

Hrm, well, that posted in the wrong place. Was referenced to Deadalon saying the game had no content added for 2 years. :/

As to the BW comments, you haven't followed the game or you'd know they've had a lot of balancing done and more keeps coming. They're nowhere near as bad as they used to be. Not ideal yet, but not gamebreakers anymore.

RvR (and hence the players) should be the heart of the game. It always had the most potential and when it all comes together it's great fun. Considering how WAR is doing compared to Mythic's expectations I think it's wise to focus on the main aspects of gameplay, especially RvR.

That doesn't mean everyone should be happy there have not been as many updates as people would like, of course. But it's better to have a higher quality of gameplay overall than to add on new bits.

Which is why I'm surprised that, if some comments are to be believed, BW/Sorcs are still reigning supreme.
