DC Universe Online fans, are you ready to preorder? You'll have to think carefully about what retail outlet you use, because preorders are available for those in the US and Canada, and there are special bonus items depending on where you place that order.
Quite a few bonuses are up for grabs: an exclusive 2v2 arena battle in which you will play as Batman (Yes, you will actually be Batman), the first issue of the DCUO comic Legends, a Batman figurine, and a variety of in-game weapons. The collector's edition includes even more extra goodies.
If you're not in NA, sit tight because there are preorder options for Germany, France, Spain, and Italy, all labeled "coming soon." Check out the official preorder page on the DCUO site for all the details.
Updated: DCUO didn't stop with the preorder goodies! Open beta signups are now available, and we got a first look at The Joker. VIsit the site to sign up for beta, and check out the gallery below for a first look at DCUO's newest familiar face!

Retardation at its finest.
Also, how is this game coming out in November when beta hasn't even started? Hilarious.

"for those in North America and Canada...." well that would leave United States and Mexico, I always thought Canada was part of North America

If you don't mind the lag from there being no datacenters near you, sure. Most Australians play on American servers/buy an American edition, and usually people from everywhere else go with european versions, though you'll probably need to pay some pretty high shipping costs.

I'm just not seeing what the draw is with this game. Is the only selling point the DC license?

It's one of a new crop of MMOs along with Vindictus that have a far more action-oriented combat style rather than the DikuMUD, cooldown-and-manabar style most games use. It plays more like a beat 'em up with RPG elements.

I can't wait for this game!
1) I love the DC universe.
2) I love the fact that it is a different type of MMO focusing on more action and casual friendly play as compared to other MMOs.

Anybody else notice that "villains" is misspelled as "villians?"

Never preoder a game before trying it. Never.
I'll wait for a beta to make up my mind. As anyone else should...

I wonder if there's any particular reason why they have blatantly ignored the UK in these preorder offers but offered it instead to a small insignificant country like France....!
For those missing a sense of humour or who are American, the above is called a joke :)
Now that I have managed to offend millions of people in 2 different countries, back to my point:
Obviously the game will be available to buy on release in the UK but to omit the UK from a huge offer/press release like preorder details? Maybe its just a schoolboy error or maybe they just don't think they need the potential millions the UK market will give them in revenue.

@Michalon, never pre-order from online. Pre-orders from stores are fine because you can always elect to not buy.
@Super Healer, They pulled some pre-order options off the site like hours after going live. Not sure if UK was one of them. There could just be some red tape issues they need to resolve. I doubt they are ignoring UK. Its like the 2nd largest comic book market(for DC) after US.
@kevin, Well they split the two apart because they recognized the need to service two audiences. And something tells me the PS3 may boost prove a financial boon for this game.
