WoT is supposed to be f2p though, and WW2 online is sub. so people who don't want to pay a sub will be more likely to play WoT. and thats not a small number of people.

wot makes sense for a f2p game - its little more than 30-50 player matches - it felt a lot like counterstrike actually.

I'd like to go - YAY! As a subscriber since 2001 and come and go from WW2 Online as I get bored and then miss it.....but its all still a bit meh. Graphics 'improvements' have taken the game from circa 2000 to about 2003. Its still a billiard table with a bit of random clutter and SpeedTree. The 'towns' are same same, the cities likewise bland and boring. Biggest MMO map of ANY MMO out there and still only small specs are ever actually in use at any one time.

For a combined arms game there is no better online experience.

But its still a bit meh - 9 years on. But I still go back to it from time to time.

It is good to see the game still going. I was in game on day 2 (couldnt get in on day 1) and played during what I feel like was the games prime. But the developers are also from a flight sim that stayed far longer then expected as well. So they dont know when to stop.
I had the chance during a mini-con to go down to see the devs in 2003 and a lot of what they are implementing was on the drawing board way back then. It would have been nice to see a large company come along and give the company the backing it needed.
As to the person who mentioned this versus WOT earlier. Well in WWIIOL everything is player based except for the AAA AI. See a plane, its a player, see a squishy, its a player, see a truck same thing. Plus it had multiplayer in the same same tank and planes in 2001!

are you saying that more than one person can be in the same tank or plane at the same time? if so it sounds like a helluva lot of fun, just wish WOT had a similiar feature altho wot is a blazing good time.

Yes multicrewing exists in WWIIOL. From tanks to bombers to ships.
I, like Dread take breaks from it. It keeps drawing me back. This is one of the few games where you know your playing alongside a developer. They have special tags and play near daily.
