Don't be fooled by their little gimmicks.

Their game and cash shop still suck.

I don't mind this game getting publicity, but could you guys at massively please also give attention to more games that actually interest the readers, instead of entice them to troll? It hurts me to know that instead of this article we could've had something about Mortal Online, a game that you've been ignoring since launch.

Probably because anything about Mortal Online would include the same (if not more) trolling/drama posts regarding it. MO has been plagued with controversy, drama, bugs, technical issues galore and terrible server instability since launch; it has had a poor post launch so far. For every 1 person that would have something good to say about MO, there would be 5 that are negative about it...whether they played it or not. I played it since the beta, hoped it would get better, had faith that it would get better and frankly I feel it didn't. I don't think that MO is really worth the sub price, hence I quit before my sub even ran out. There really hasn't been much in the way of good, noteworthy news about MO so far.

MO was just an example, there are a handful of other titles that can get some more publicity from massively. Continuing about MO though, they could've at least posted a guide about the game (something similiar to those "A WoW player's guide to..", or even just a roundup of community info). I don't think that game even got a first impressions post.

Left Allods after rised a warden to 40 in closed beta, when first FOD form stroke.
I see now I was lucky, saving a lot of my time.
I'll never try a GP "free" game again, their "greed before all" is obvious.
PR them smells fishy imo.

The contest gave me the incentive to visit a couple of my lowbie characters again. I've gotten twelve keys between my two accounts so far and had about a 50% hit rate. It's mostly been junk like megaphones, but a couple of nice things like incense and a stack of 30 charms.

The contest does seem to be working too. There were many, many more people in the game this morning than I've seen since the patch.

The heartbreaking part is that it is a REALLY good game with one of the cleverest endgames I've ever seen.

Their cash shop got me to stop playing but I truly miss the game. I was SO looking forward to when the endgame got enough players to really get good.

Too true.

Not to be too overtly cynical, but does it seem like this event was orchestrated to fall a week after a largely unpopular patch that cost the game a majority of its players? The timing for a please-just-keep-logging-in player drive like this just seems a little suspicious. I know there'll be at least a few people who quit that think they'll log in and idle for a few hours a day to soak up keys and try to make out big, but will be unable to resist goofing around in game, despite how godawful the endgame is.

The contest is bugged and people aren't getting their keys. They say the issue should be resolved by the end of the day.

I'm still having a reasonable amount of fun in the game at level 9, but really, a bugged contest was the last thing Allods needed lol.

Let's hope they can turn the sinking ship around. The game has some great qualities and fantastic production values, but some laughably bad management.

Best part of the whole event was the gold selling spam at -just- the right moments.

Only time in my entire life I've ever had a positive emotion for a gold seller.

Yeah, and the bugged keys thing: awesome sauce!

Isn't this pretty much identical to the event Atlantica launched a couple of weeks ago?
