This is one of the ways how Guild Wars is able to stay free to play. They make their money by customers buying the game, book sales, no ingame GMs, and very slow downloads so during patch times they don't go over their limit/bandwidth and it costs them millions.

well your last point just dont mae sense. First of all they send out very little patches very often, which means you dont sit for ages to download a patch. second of all the blizzard downloader is MUCH slower

Well WOW did it for me lost my account all my gear and bags every thing well they lost me as a sub now im Guildwars 2 all the way WOW sucks sorry but to give me 750 gold saying they gave me that to get my gear back ouch to them that hurt my feels and now they lost me as a sub player Guild wars brings you in with open arms and they fix your account done right Hello to Guildwars 2 and bye to WOW and its dum support
