I have to say so far what I've experienced with this game has been heavily disappointing at best. Very much a casual game aimed towards facebook type gamers.

It is a racing game that is f2p. I think of it like an experiment, since there hasn't seemed to be this combo of racing mmo and f2p before.

I will play it occasionally with friends and it might be a casual game, but it is still fun.

As far as I can tell the rental restrictions still exist and you can only play the game as you had done so before in the other betas.

You need to re-download the installer and re-install it, you will get the 8000 SpeedBoosts and the restrictions will be removed.

I've already bought the starter pack - playing the beta really brought back fun memories of the original Need For Speed on the 3DO. Looking forward to launch! I got rid of my console and really don't want to pay $60 for a racing game anymore - this fits the bill perfectly for me :)
