You can laugh, but it's true. The latest edition to the Free Realms shop includes an above-ground pool that is a giant toilet. The lid even goes up and down, providing a built-in pool cover at no additional charge.
There are other new store items that are just as fun and silly as the toilet-pool, such as a land-shark that's actually a groundhog with a fin tied to its back. Other items head in the direction of just plain fun. How about a surfboard or an obstacle course platform that slides back and forth once placed?
Check out the Free Realms site for all the details on the new goodies, then come on in -- the water's fine!
[Thanks to EAC for the tip!]

Have they added any actual content to this game?

No, that's not really within their scope/resources.
It will be interesting to see what happens after Clone Wars launches: they've been quite open that they got the Star Wars IP off of Free realm engine technical demos, and consequently the vast majority of the FR development team moved to starting up Clone Wars immediately after launch (hence the lack of new content that wasn't done or near-done by release).
The tiny live team has certainly done wonders on the housing front, but *if* they get staff back after Clone Wars launches then Free Realms could yet see a surge in traditional MMO content.
Of course all the devs may stay with Clone Wars or start on another game, but at least there's hope.

For some reason it feels wrong, almost pornographic, in a kids game. The mothers union will be having alarmist hysterical fits. Almost worth putting in the game to watch their heads pop whilst chewing on the popcorn.
