Aeria Games wants players to know what to expect out of Kingdom Heroes, and one of the biggest draws can be explained in three letters: PvP. More specifically, large-scale PvP that features up to 100 participants on each side, culminating in the bloody Kingdom Wars that are shown off in a new set of official screens. The first picture in the gallery is a brief moment of calm before the storm, with the subsequent images showing off just how bloody the fighting can get.
Set during China's Three Kingdoms period -- the setting for Romance of the Three Kingdoms and the Dynasty Warriors series among others -- the game is still in open beta, with a variety of weekend events running to help entice new players. If you're fond of the historical setting (with some exceptions made for the sake of gameplay) or just fond of large-scale PvP, take a look at the gallery and consider giving Kingdom Heroes a shot.

I'm starting to think that some of these companies are just reusing their same maps and models and just reskinning them to put out more and more dime a dozen f2p games. Look at the companies like Frogster, Astrum Nival, and Turbine- they each only have one or two f2p games, and they are all pretty unique and fun. Look at these by Aeria and some of these other Asian Grinder companies releasing the same MMOs over and over.

By the way, what ever happened to Aika? Wasn't that the big "large scale PvP" game? Or was it nothing special and pretty much forgotten about?
Hint: The last question.

When I checked out Aika, "nothing special" was indeed the phrase that most accurately described it, and I have indeed pretty much forgotten about it.

Exactly, some of these games use things like HUGE PVP OMGZORS, and you might even try some of them, I tried to get into Aika, the pictures and reviews didn't seem so bad, but it turned out being another crappy free game, just like the other 90% of free MMOs available. These companies need to stop using the same crappy graphics, the same Asian themes, and the same boring gameplay... Innovation is the best thing that can happen in MMOs.

KH would have been almost interesting if it weren't for its AFK levelling system; you summon a minor army of soldiers who run around killing mobs for you while you stand there. It sapped any fun.

Perfect Worlds Heroes of the Three Kingdoms is just Red Cliff online(which has been out for awhile) ported to the west.

Actually that system kept me playing especially when the quests ran out you dont have to just grind a million mobs your bots did it for you. What is sapping the fun for me is Aeria's item mall prices> you mess up your talent tree and you have to pay $20 to fix it, mess up your stats $15.You want to upgrade an item and you are at 80% chance to succeed you need to buy a 2.50 item or chance destroyed gear(which there is a $13 dollar mall item to bring it back) so upgrade 3-4x from that point you spent $7.50-10 on a item that doesnt even help success rate(there is a $1.75 item to use every upgrade try for that).Basically pvp is about who spent the most money on upgrading and enchanting there gear.
