They don't have to be specific. They could just say "Ankh was removed due to violation of the NDA concerning a game feature we had planned for the future." It's possible to generally mention how the NDA was broken without releasing the specific info.

Again, compare what they are doing now to how Larkonis Trassler was handled:

"Greetings players,

It has come to the attention of our council that one of our councilmen has breached the trust that CCP and the Council has put in him. Acting on his own, he utilized confidential information that CCP shared with us in violation of the Nondisclosure Agreement he signed by attempting to engage insider trading. CCP, who is monitoring us closely, almost instantly discovered his actions and has banned his accounts. The councilmember has since resigned his seat on the council."

from http://www.eveonline.com/devblog.asp?a=blog&bid=692

The only thing I can think of is that the issue is more serious legally as to require total nondisclosure. If that's the case the CSM is the least of the worries.

This is different in that Larkonis owned up to his mistake immediately when he sobered up and was offered the option of stepping down. Larkonis opted to reveal the private details behind the incident to the public. Ank was removed from the CSM against her will, and the details remain a private matter between CCP and her until she agrees to let CCP publicise them. I'd take anything anyone has to say on the issue with a grain of salt unless that happens. Until then, it's a private matter between Eva and CCP and they have to respect her privacy. As you said, there may also be legal issues forcing nondisclosure. We simply can't know at this point.

I voted for the woman. I liked her insistence that CCP be held accountable to support the systems that they put in place. They release expansions that introduce new systems then they forget about them. Eva wanted Factional Warefare worked on and for CCP to put Dev time into items that were put forth by the CSM then never touched. She seemed to care less about the big 0.0 power blocs and overall wanted more controlled pvp. With penalties against griefing. This got her hate. As I remember she and the current chairperson Mynxee (not sure of spelling) complained publically about CCP not having any Dev resources slated for anything but Dust 514 and Incarna. Now about a month later she gets removed? Very, suspicious.....

I don't know (or care) who she is, what she did or what her agenda, but i have one thing to say:

The CSM is currently a joke and a waste of money on a lousy PR stunt.
CCP pretends to listen to players while doing whatever they want... Crap the CSM voted on sits in the wiki for years without the devs even considering to act upon, while they implement other crap that most of the CSM (and the actual player base that elected them) thinks is useless or even harmful.

CCP Should either tell us to STFU and close this farce or start actually listening to what the CSM delegates (elected by the players) say.

Dont forget why CCP maked this CSM programm in the first place. Beause a Devoloper of CCP Cheated and manipulated the old Tech2 Lottery before invention was in. That was one of the main reasons for CCP to make this CSM programm, a simple PR matter.

That CCP just booted somebody, specialy Eva, that is involved herself in gamedesign and know at best what could be possible or not, shows me atm only that CCP try to get rid of unwanted ppl for there Company plans. They dont tell anything about, they simply eject a deomcraticly elected person and give no reason. I mean wtf? What is CCP expecting now, that ppl still belive thats democraticle? There Devolopers wasnt fired when they cheated and all the world know that they did it, that they didnt keeped as a private matter. And now a Person from CSM should have break there EULA or else and they dont wanna tell what it is?

Seriously, thats not the open democratic way...specially where every body has a right for a fair hearing and the public has a right to hear the whole story, so they can decide.

Who? Got? What?

CSM what the heck is that?

Exactly i have played this game 7 years and that is some poor joke played on the players its like the honor role students and teachers pets

if you speak out of line your no longer in the favored crowd.

As for what she did my only thought after reading this and doing my research, she was also a game dev for another company

its possible she was leaking info to them but again that’s just a guess I have no real info or care to backup that theory and if that’s the case yea the no discloser is probably a legal mater that wont ever be discussed publicly

But again whoever this CSM group is they shouldn’t have anymore power or knowledge than a player they should just be a soapbox for them that’s all.

Whatever

Stomps off and goes back to making 180,000,000 profit a day creating T2 in empire….

The non-disclosure violation was explaining how the CSM works, or rather doesn't work. She was booted because she questioned the process and wanted CSM representatives to be real representatives and not just figure head positions that won a popularity contest.

It had nothing to do with revealing secrets. The NDA violation excuse is just a way for them to avoid saying she was removed because she did not bow down to us as if we were gods.
