I'm not a big fan of Guild Wars in general (Just a personal preference), but I was playing at the tame of last years Dragon Festival, and I can certainly recommend hopping on to anyone who still has Guild Wars on their hard drives.

It's such a great time, and there is lots of fun to be had. =)

Don't forget, when the Emperor shows up Celestial Charges will start popping up all around Shing Jea Monastery and players can pick them up and take them to the Imperial Sorcerers before a Grasp of Insanity can get them (or touch you if you are carrying one). Sugar items that give you a burst of speed are useful for this, so save any you might have for this. Points are given to each side (charges delivered or destroyed) and if the player side wins festival gifts are given out. Yay! Bad things happen if the Grasp win, but I've never seen that happen. :)

This is always a fun event and I'm really looking forward to it again.

Ahh, the Dragon Festival is always fun. Alas, I missed last year, but this one I'll definitely have to attend. According to the sight, this year's mask has something to do with the dragons of old. Should prove interesting!

Hiya Tempes! If you check out a few of the above links, you'll find quite a bit of what you mentioned here. Particularly "Dragon Festival page on the Guild Wars site." You'll find a really nice events calendar there, with plenty of links to more details on each event.

Events repeat each other every year. This is the fourth time the Dragon Festival is celebrated. Other events, such as, for example, Wintersday are repeated every winter, and Halloween comes around every... Halloween. It seems you've been spoiled a bit by calendar systems in other games.

Also, Chaos Axes are rather expensive, especially the inscribable ones, and if anyone has a spare one, he's really not gonna give it to you for nothing. Be prepared to either farm for Chaos Axes in the FoW or UW (dunno which one), or save lots of cash to buy one.

Aside from that, there's one item inspired by the Chaos Axe; you can buy Chaos Gloves, which are gloves that are all glowing, like the Chaos Axe, but you need to travel to the final mission outpost of Eye of the North to craft them, and in order to craft them you not only need high reputation with the Deldrimor dwarves, but also lots of money and lots of VERY expensive materials.

the Chaos items do rock, but you will need to be prepared to pay a *HEFTY* premium for them. I've found a few chaos axes but none that can take an inscription. As for the Chaos Gloves.. all in due time.. and I do mean a lot of time, 75 ecto doesn't happen over night. ;_; compared to that the rest of the mats are cake to get.

The different cost is not a bug. Identification increases the price of Weapons, looted armour and weapon upgrades by a random amount. Meaning they do not have a fixed price.

Rollerbeetle racing! My favorite event ever. Any time I hear there's rollerbeetle racing to be had, I have to crank out the old GW client and do a few laps at the very least. Might even try for a festival hat this year.
