"Agon can be a rough, frustrating, confusing, and unfair place at times..." Truer words were never spoken. If you've heard of Darkfall, this is probably a good approximation of what you've heard. If you've played Darkfall, you've experienced it firsthand.
This full-PvP niche game comes by its dog-eat-dog reputation honestly, and the players who love that sort of thing thrive in the environment. It can be pretty daunting for a new player, so a little hand up is always welcome. Syncaine over at Hardcore Casual provided that very thing with yesterday's Darkfall Online FAQ.
The post is full of helpful hints regarding everything from character creation to long-term gameplay plans, and is a good resource for anyone new to Darkfall.

Keys to doing well in Darkfall.
1.Develop a few nice, efficient macros
2.Download some autoclicking software.
3.Find a nice deserted spot (most of the world)
4.Spend a couple weeks AFKing all night with your macros so you can skill up.
5.Skill up to max in all possible skills
6.Go find, kill and make fun of newer players that don't macro grind.
7.????
8.Profit!

Having tried the beta the game wasnt for me, poor graphics, clunky combat (level based) skilling up isnt a good mechanic for pvp, the playing field needs to be level with some great mechanics added to spice things up, to include death mechanics. Item rewards or loot from conqured players is another thing entirely and needed. sure groups will trash single folks unless the group really blows, but established players (if skill were really skill) would have little one upmanship on new folks and it actually would be skill to determine a winner, that or numbers.
Having read the faq (since it is here i assume its updated) there are several contradictions (read "doesnt matter" and then a bit later, "dont choose this") . Anyone proof read the faq for facts? or was it written by a part time clown at the company?
Accurate, to the point, factual. should be in a faq, not opinions, or things like, you shouldnt choose this, but it is in the game.....
This is EVE's dust. They are perfect for each other, lol.

You must not know. The game is full loot. You die, you loose everything in your back and on your body except your undies and a starter weapon.

I know its full loot, thats why the comment is there to offset the bad about the level based skill sysytem, which needs to go. Simply stated, get rid of the level based anything, improve the graphics 10 fold, make line of sight "true" have a wacky death and revenge penalty and this game could catch on.
