June 29th is just a few days away, and if you're a Lord of the Rings Online player in Europe, that means it's almost party time! The Summer Festival is returning to Middle-earth, bringing all of your old favorites such as Keg Racing and Taste of Hobbiton.
You've got plenty of time to participate in the celebration, because it's going on for quite a while. Events will last until July 29th, and you'll find celebrations taking place at several locations throughout Middle-earth. Visit the Shire, Ered Luin, Bree-land and Thorin's Hall to participate.
Check out the Lord of the Rings Online official announcement for all of the current information.

Only Europe? that seems... odd.

According to the forum calendar at the LotRO website, the summer festival's tentative start date is June 29. There is no specificity as to location.
I believe the purpose of this article was more to assure European players that they'll be enjoying the festival at the same time as North America (something that I think has not always been the case in the past).

With spectacular visuals, landscapes, and moods, this game should be more popular than it is. With devs telling the community what they will and wont do they consistantly tear the lore apart, remaking it in their own vision. Where is the life in LOTR? Orion has sucked it out over the years and people happily stand there and let it happen.
Over the years only one game has me log back in time and again, even with the glaring failures of its devs, just to travel around a shaded, forested area in hopes i will find some sight seeing adventurer foolishly picking flowers in a glade....and making them pay for it.
