The folks at En Masse Entertainment have made a habit out of releasing new TERA screens near the end of every week, and today is no different. The seventh installment of the Screenshots of the Week featurette takes us to Serpentis Isle, which is just a bit north of Mistmoar Island and the location of last week's E3 demo.
"Creatures both familiar and fantastic can be found in this dangerous territory and they are not keen on sharing it with hapless explorers nor gallivanting heroes," says Evan "Scapes" Berman, En Masse community manager, in a teaser post on the game's official forums.
You can view the new screenshots on TERA's official website, or check them out in our handy gallery below.

I hate to say it but this is a lower res exact copy of a screenshot I know I have on my home PC from Aion, the only difference is its a dwarf swinging a big halberd at a turtle and the turtle is slightly smaller. Same. exact. pose. just crappier graphics.
All of these fantasy mmo's are starting to blend together in my head now

Really starting to like the game visually. The Japanese completely over the top visual style is really fun and different from many other MMOs.

It's a Korean game, but Japan's pretty much the codifier for the manhwa style that Korea came up with, so fair enough assessment.
Also: despite my little outburst about it earlier, XIV's recently revealed monsters blow these away, easily. I'm sure there'll be a Massively article about it sooner or later.

As long as TERA has PvE servers at launch, it will be a success. Keep at it BH/EM, only ~8 months to go!

Since they are obviously playing the game to get these screenshots, why don't they instead give us a 1-2 minute gameplay video every week? Screenshots are so dial-up.

Because then you would be able to see how very, very little exp you really get per mob.

Not to mention how tediously boring it will become in no time at all. I can't be the only one not fooled by this game, it has NC employees working for the company for christ sake. :P

I always feel bad killing turtles. We really need to start leaving the poor turtles alone. My God, they're Turtles! TURTLES!

I kinda feel this way too. Like what did the turtle ever do to me?

You wont have to worry. The 50 bots in the area will kill them for you.

Good. I hope it takes months of party/group play time to reach the level cap. At least then there will be the _possibility_ of players who actually know how to play their class.
This whole trend towards "hit the level cap in a week, solo" equals bad players, a bad community and no subscriber retention.
