Eight years later, a faster mode of travel! What a great idea!

It has a real world currency exchange, as in, the money you make in-game can be withdrawn for real money. It's a 10:1 ratio, so 10 game PED's (credits) = $1. I just tried this a few days ago too. It's extremely hard to get started unless you import some money, but people have made thousands and millions actually but I'd be wary of investing alot of money. The graphics, UI and game mechanics are actually AWESOME though. But I didn't feel like grinding for hours just to build up a small amount of PED's to buy weapons and ammo...

Let me know if anyone else likes or knows this game well. I might try it again.

It's a neat game but not for everybody. You can play by depositing $10 / month, but there is a bit of grinding involved. There are questions but they're fairly limited.

If you wanted to craft weapons for example you may need to deposit hundreds a month; there is the potential to profit. Most players don't profit, they treat the game on a pay-to-play basis.

I like it because I don't have to pay when I don't want to. I can go a month without depositing and still log in, chat, heal friends, fool around, ect.

Most people won't like the pay-per-play system, but those that do seem to stick around.

Very interesting "game".

I have been playing this game for well over 3 years. It is a lot of fun, I make short breaks when there are bad periods but in these 3 years I've withdrew money to buy a PC, PDA and when I will quit this game, I will have an awesome car out of it.

PS: vehicles do not decay no matter how much u drive them.

The game is plenty of fun but a tough challenge to play without depositing.

The cars don't decay unless hit by animals or in pvp zones so a CAUTIOUS car owner will be able to run one practically forever. They do consume a small amount of oil, but it seem quite reasonable compared to what I was expecting in the short time I have played with mine so far.

For starting players, I would recommend becoming involved in the communities at entropiaforum.com and entropiaplanets.com they can provide invaluable information to help new players get started in a game that can be more complicated starting out in than others.

This game is a well disguised casino, nothing more, nothing less. The cars are like Casino promo girls, designed to sucker you in to the money pit.

I love it so much that vehicles are finally here. Ever since we got a teaser "dummy" car in the game I have been waiting. Thanks Mindark!

For a free MMO it's not bad, it just takes longer to get starter gear then first day. And if you put, say 40 bucks on your first month thats 400ped. then 15 bucks each month (150 ped) after that.. Well hey.. you got enough money to get started and it's like playing any other pay to play game.

I've been playing two days and i'm already at 3K sweat, and going price is about 4 to 5ped/K depending.

And i havn't invested any money at all...

I think it's just not the game for the themepark, hold my hand and walk me through everything, minded people. It takes time to get what you want.

But i really wanna get into the crafting side of this game. I always craft in every other MMO i play. Might as well do it in this one also. Plus it should be great fun if i can start to make money from it.

I'm a full time student, and i work a over night security job that lets me bring my laptop in. I can do that for $9/hr and play this while i'm at it.

I hear that in time, and if well played, people can make up to 300 ped/hour. 10:1 thats not to bad at all...

Xefipor ..you are a child in this game ..you even sound like one just dont believe what you hear ..and to craft in this game(casino) cost s you a lot of money and you can possibly make 300 ped in an ...but u can lose 3000 dollars just as quick ..so grow up and wise up

The good thing about this game is you can play it as you like, if you wanna pay a lot of money and and gamble it away in the hope of getting a big loot you can. If you wanna pay some money and play for a long time hunting smaller creatures with the chance of some small profit you can. If you don't wanna pay anything you can still play, but you will need to do some grinding to get some money, with that you can hunt some creatures until you money runs out and you have to grind some more unless you get some nice loot and you can keep hunting some more.

A lot of people expect to not pay any money and get rich in a few weeks or be an uber in 6 months like in WoW. This is not the case at all, if will take years to become a mediocre player, but that's part of the fun, also there is no max skill level, so you can progress until the end of time.

You can make money in this game and you can also make A LOT of money in this game, but to make a lot of money you will need to have a lot of money (or be extremely lucky), so don't expect that. Play for fun and have a lot of fun with the (mostly) mature community, not to much whiners and 13 years old kids (thank god). Don't give up after a few hours, really give it a chance and try it out a few weeks and get the know some people and explore the planet, only this way you will get a good feel for the game.
