The problem I have with the tournament is the matches are quickly decided, apart from like one of the matches that came down to the last two ships. They didn't even have enough DPS to finish eachother off so it became boring. I think the tournament would play well as battlegrounds in EVE Online, though for the tournament, I want it to be more epic.

You know I want it over several systems with them fighting for control. Where if you're down, you're given a chance to get the fight back.

PL final was boring. They put a lot of energy into finding out what everyone else would bring. Only one of PL matches was even close.

Given that Hydra ran the exact same setup they'd used in the previous two (or three?) matches, I don't think it took a lot of intel assets to determine their weaknesses. And even knowing what somebody else has, you still have to execute in order to beat them. Props to Pandemic Legion for winning the tournament three times running.

Sure the final was a bit anti-climatic, but bringing the same setup again and again just doesn't work, worked even worse for CO2 who lost a looooot of ISK. :p

PL is the team who takes the tournament the most serious, and because it a lot of their matches have been a little boring because they were using setups they knew were going to win. They did have one really close match against ATLAS in the quarter finals which was awesome, but you can't really blame them for wanting to win.

Overall it was pretty damn awesome though and the only problem with the finals was really that they sat on top of 6 World Cup matches. :p Sure hope they'll do the same thing next year.

The streaming was fantastic, high quality with no stuttering.

Top notch presentation by CCP this year, looked like a regular ol' high def cable show.

Can't blame CCP too much for the anti-climactic matches. The tank-offs were a great example of why they have some restrictions for the tournament. Although alot of matches were very one sided, I have never enjoyed myself this much tuning into the matches. Looking forward to the next tournament!

I really enjoyed it too. Thanks to all the participants and CCP.

Now if they could automatic some kind of match in-game with the same point system - where people could sign up and fight in a secure area (and win prizes and ranks) - that would be very cool! 0.0
