As always a fantastic Teaser trailer. Now if only the ingame graphics and gameplay looked like that, with of course the appropriate rig.

They had the highground, and they jumped off of it.
The guy had a grenade launcher, but dropped it in favor of a combat knife.
Smart...

And we all know what happens when we have the high ground. You can magically cut off 3 limbs in one swipe.

Even if you don't like the game itself....everyone has to agree that this is an incredibly awesome CG trailer. They should make a full length feature movie out of this.

Wild guess: a full-length movie with that quality of animation, and everything else that goes into making a feature length animated movie, would cost at least $100-150 million (and I really think $100 mil would be low-balling it).

Clone Wars, the movie, only made $69 million. It was still very profitable... because that animation only cost them $8.5 million... but I'm not sure the profit-ceiling the first animated movie suggested would spur enough interest to make that kind of investment. Now, one could argue a more mature plot and more realistic animation could have made more people willing to drop that kind of money into the series, but you could also argue that it would need a PG-13 rating, which would keep a lot of the families that contributed to the first movie's profits from coming, too.

I think the best bet for that kind an of *awesome* and realistically animated movie would be for TOR to do well. If, suddenly, 8-10 million people were playing the game and would be pumped to see the movie, suddenly you could start to think about a Star Wars animated movie that could pull in $200 million in the domestic box office and warrant a $100+ million investment just to develop the thing (never mind advertise it).

I'm gonna say you're wrong on that one Ryan. I think a star Wars feature of this quality would more than make it's money back.

1) Parents took their kids to see Kick Ass.

2) My Call of Duty sessions are riddled kids who's balls haven't dropped.

3) The only thing that stopped close wars from being a bigger hit is that it was painfully obvious that it was a kids movie, and as big a fan as I am, even I had no desire to watch something that was even more targetted to children. Let's face it, there is enough kid targeting buit into the series already (buzz droid, ewoks, need I go on).

4) Also, I wonder if maybe there was a little clone wars fatigue by that point. This is a new era with a new cast of characters. I think it would do awesome... as long as Lucas didn't write it.

I wholeheartedly agree, I mean I think this is why SWG is still going, you want non instanced housing and space combat, it's already there for you. LA isn't coming out with the same game twice people. I know I'm repeating myself but it seems the biggest critics (and I leave out those that are doubtful, they have full reason) of this game are from people who I think it just isn't for.
I've read countless times about people who say they don't care about story complain about how much news surrounding swtor concerns storytelling. It's like *facepalm* no kidding sherlock, a bioware game centered on story? Who knew?
If you ONLY want to play for combat, swtor may not be your cup of tea.

Was it just me....I'm pretty sure it wasn't just me, but did that one Sith w/ the mask look an awful lot like Darth Revan. I'm sure it wasn't him/her, but the similarity in the masks was just eerie, as well as the Sith from the Assault on Coruscant trailer looking a lot like Darth Malak. This has probably all been stated before. I know the timelines are nowhere near each other (something like 300 years between KotoR2 and ToR) But I know I wasn't the only one disappointed in the ending of KotoR2 and would like a little more info.
