Amazing what some companies are trying to pass off as a multi-player online game nowadays.

I wouldn't be surprised if every top show on SyFy suddenly became a browser based MMO.

Well I for one can't stand New Formula BSG, so I'll be happy to play this and try hard to pretend it's Original Formula.

I'm not going to even bother watching it. I'm still pissed they are burning the IP on a browser based F2P game. Damn shame. The marketing teams that dreamed this one up should be taken outside and beaten.

Well screw you lot of negative types, I'm looking forward to this. I would imagine the developers are aware of the failings of the other BSG game and would ensure this makes up for it. I look forward to some decent 8-on-8 ship battles in a CORPG style

Unless this is some kind of alternate universe where the Cylons have more than 12 models, this will be totally suspenseless. We already know what all the models look like (technically save Daniel, though I have a feeling I know where Caprica is going) and if there's no pressure that there are infiltrating enemy agents who might be listening, or that you yourself might be a cylon without knowing it, there's no drama.

And every roleplayer will have a ~special destiny~ or a tragically misplaced lover on the other side.

I have to say one thing you ALL missed. The Battlestar Galactica WAS IN THE FIRST CYLON WAR! This very well may be set in the first war. if it is we could see something like EvE online crossed with a flight combat simulator. personaly I would love to see something like Air Rivals ( asian grind fest mmo but had exultant pvp air combat) set in the first war. just remember the whole idea of the show was Galactica WAS BEING RETIRED AFTER YEARS IN THE WAR when the cylons attacked. I still have hope they can make this work.

I just love how everyone seems to know how good the game is before it has even been released. You would think that people would at least wait untill there is some sort of alpha or beta to play before convicting it to death.

If you guys really want to play a BSG space game, just install X3TC or ReUnion and download the fan-made BSG mod.
