Someone should have asked them why they bait & switched people with their pre-order items and Lifetime Exclusive items going up on the microtransaction store. They really have the biggest incompetent marketing team ever, every single decision they make is outrageous and just pisses off more of their few remaining players.

This was talked about briefly in the forums even before the game was released, and there was never any doubt that the exclusives would one day be made available for purchase by the general playerbase.

Cryptic was doing this sort of "delayed release" of launch exclusives as far back as City of Heroes (where they also flagged it would happen); it's not something new.

Basically, if someone wants to use this development as a another reason to dislike Cryptic, that's their choice -- but it's not some sort of "dirty trick", unless they decide to see it that way, regardless.

Ah, what am I saying? It doesn't matter. The Sakura Park brigade will arrive soon enough, and destroy any semblance of polite or coherent discussion in this thread. Laterz!

My biggest complaint is the Lifetime bonuses they packaged together to sell lifetime subs. Putting the Liberated Borg and Mirror Universe Uniforms for sale is just a big "slap in the face" to loyal supporters who purchased those lifetime package deals.
