AoC.
AoC.
AoC...
Yes AoC had the most amazing soundtrack ever, especially Conalls Valley. I can't wait to hear the asian themed music in khitai when I go back to denmark from China actually ;) their music is da best!

Oh, and for the record, WAR actually had a quite cool soundtrack to, it was just an ambient thing but it caught the feel of the world, even though I would never listen to it out of the game... (learnt to play a bit of the piece that youre hearing when not logged in by accident on my guitar though ;) )

Anarchy Online

Incredible music--to include an amazingly innovative music system (http://www.gamasutra.com/view/feature/2952/the_music_of_anarchy_online_.php)--ambient, atmospheric, thematic--creating the aural identity, mood and expression of each location and time of day. Absolutely *the best music* in a game I have *ever* played!

Easily Guild Wars...as somebody else stated above, Jeremy & Julian Soule's music for the three Guild Wars games (Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall) is just outstanding. It's movie-caliber music.

What's particularly great about the music is that it feels like it's telling a story, and there are both thematic runs across tracks as well as a lot of variety.

Favorite tracks:
From Prophecies: Tasca's Theme
From Factions: Harvest Festival
From Nightfall: Festival of Lyss

(but really there are over 2 dozen tracks total that I think are great)

Everquest II, of course. That fully orchestrated score always gets the nostalgia flowing. Great memories of the Antonica theme.
