It is a very cool looking animation. I went and got the GR stuff but then quickly realised how there isn't anything really new to do in game. There hasn't been much added for a very long time. Back on my 'taking a break' status.

Check again when Going Rogue comes out, the game is pretty stale for a lot of people right now but I'm hoping for an upswing at release.

Coming from someone who left his Assault Rifle / Devices blaster main to roll a new Dual Pistols / Energy Manipulation, you did a great job! It's a fantastic set, and one of the few that I picked every single power in my primary - not caring what the opinion's of the min/maxers were. I absolutely love the set, and my only complaint is that I don't have more hours in a day to play it.

Seconded. A really fine job. Best powerset animations in the game.

I still feel that most of the pistol animations are a tad too long - it ruins the flow of combat if you're spending more time spectating than participating. By contrast my beloved Archery is all pretty quick apart from Rain of Arrows which is rather powerful to make up for the long animation time, and as most people only use it as an opener it doesn't really impact the flow of combat. By contrast with other sets nothing in pistols really seemed powerful enough to justify the animation times.

But while I've given up on playing pistols myself I do enjoy seeing other players using the pistol animations in teams - they do look very stylish - and even though the animation seemed a touch too long I did really enjoy using Executioner's Shot myself, especially as a finishing attack on runners - you got the animation spot on for that one.

I still think the animation of the bullet rain power is very silly though, especially if a player is trying to create a Natural origin character. Targeted AEs really have no place in a pistol set when cones and PBAEs suit so much better. Sure, I know you wouldn't have had much say over what types of powers were in the set and that you probably just had to animate what powers Castle's department wanted in the set, but still, the animation seems a bit odd (shooting bullets up into the air at 45 degrees, then the bullets fall down at seemingly random angles, but all within a narrow circular area).

As a fan of all of the aforementioned movies (Equilibrium especially) I grabbed the DP set the moment it was available, and worked my toon (DP/Traps) to 50. The only (minor) dissapointment is that when I put that toon besides others of comparable power (other toons of mine, slotted similarly/equivalently), the DPS is far lower than say, my Fire/Dark. I definitely wanted that not to be the case, but a friend and I who have been City fanatics since beta/release experimented with different toons - just couldn't seem to get the DP set to do comparable DPS output. Regardless, I still play him - I love the set, and the toon. But balance wise, it seems to need a touch more 'bang for the buck' (pun absolutely intended.)
