VEATs are awesome.

I love all 5 regular villain archetypes - more than most archetypes on blueside (though I have a soft spot for Warshades, Blasters & Controllers), but as soon as I got my two VEATs to higher levels I knew I'd found my favourite archetypes in the whole game.

In the last couple of years I've invested a stupid amount of inf into them, purpling up both builds on each so that I have all 4 VEAT branches - Bane, Crab, Fortunata and Night Widow - powered up to the point where they can do the RWZ Challenge solo (L54 Rikti spawn, 3 bosses, no insps/godmodes, no splitting the spawn). That just gives me so much flexibility when deciding which character to take on endgame raids/SFs - my Widow is built like a scrapper, the Fortunata like a blaster/dominator hybrid, my Bane like a stalker/corruptor and my Crab like a blaster/mastermind - whatever my mood there's a VEAT to fit.

So when it comes to my redside characters I know which two I'll be taking through the endgame content - my VEATs - so powerful, so flexible, so survivable, so welcome on teams and just so much fun.

The VEAT epic story missions totally suck compared to the Warshade/Peacebringer story arcs, though. You're not a destined one, then you are, then you're not, then you are - /yawn - oh and go beat up Statesman for the heck of it - very lame. At least the Kheldian HEAT arcs have a cohesive ongoing story and a lot more than just 1-2 missions every 5 levels. It's ironic really - on the whole I prefer redside story arc content over blueside arcs, but when it comes to epic ATs the opposite is true.
