There seems to be some interest stirring up in the West or are you referring to the East?

Personally I dislike all the talk of heavy instancing (talk to an NPC and get sent to an instance to grind) however it seems they are working on that. It is still on my radar but it is further out than it once was.

I'm not interested in this game, either. I think sandbox is the way to go for the future.

I'll type it since no one else will...

The article is rehersed and reads like the testers are internal. I tried to get numbers and a couple contacts to see what actual testing and how many actual QDR's had been submitted to date, their reply? We cannot release any information to the public at this time.

Really? So only what they rehearse and want released? Honesty? transparency? I see a big nutroll and these folks are scrambling to put something together in the 9th hour.

Anyone should be able to tell quite easily what is actual info and what is carefully planned releases. I dont care for finely crafted bits of prose, i want to know the problems, the hate, the frustration and the problems being solved. I dont want or need to read politicians spin.

These folks will lose customers before they gain them, amazing.

The marketing hype machine rolling on, they are posting any fluff news so all the blogs will pick it up and keep spreading the word on the game.

It's just like Aion using Liv as there marketing toy months back. Every kid under the sun was following her like some lost puppys and praising the damn game and it wasn't even out yet.

Tera will do that next or I should say En masse.

When you get accepted for the Focus Group Tests you can't say anything to anyone outside of the FGT forum that is hidden from anyone not in the FGT. If you think En Masse is the only company not answering your questions then you are mistaken. Look what Blizzard made MMO-Champion do. Had them remove all the Cata info and forbid stuff to be talked about in the forums. E3 is rolling around and maybe more info will be released then on just what type of game we will have.

People whine they want to see new footage so they give some new screenshots and a little bit of lore. The game is a long way from being released here so info has to be slowly given out. It's common sense there. If you want to see gameplay just look it up on youtube to see the Korean stuff for now. Tera isn't gonna be out til around Q1 if not early Q2 of 2011. That is a ton of time to slowly release info to the public.

Why is it that the term "westernization" is always such a red flag to me?

Could it because so many "westernized" Asian grinder MMOs turn out to be ... grinder MMOs with English text? If I want a westernized MMO, I think I'll take my chances with an MMO that basically started out "western" to begin with.

When I read the comments here about TERA, I can't help but feel sorry for En Masse. This has got to be the most scrutinized unreleased mmo to date.

@Graill - You very rarely can walk up to a company open handed, and start asking for information. Anyone who gives out the slightest bit of info will most likely loose their job. I work in a similar industry, and I have seen people get fired over the smallest comments leaked, or unapproved screen grab. Why? Because comment trolls like us are ready to spin anything they say. What you are reading in this 2nd installment didn't just fall out of the sky, it was PROOFED AND REVIEWED BY MANY, MANY PEOPLE. There is not a super conspiracy going around, this is just advertising 101. And YES IT IS CAREFULLY PLANNED INFORMATION. All you have to do is spend a couple of minutes putting yourself in their shoes.

If you want your "transparency" you talked about, you aren't going to get it. And I mean come on, you aren't even part of the press :P
