I'm really glad you're launching Waging War. The game has been improving and provides a very nice, accessible, and immediate PvP system.

Many sites dedicated to WAR fizzled or have become derelict since the hype machine stopped and the passers by left. Wardb, while it can still be useful, is neglected. Hammerwiki, too, is derelict. So WAR doesn't really have a viable, comprehensive repository of knowledge like Thotbott or WoW Wiki. WAR does have a very strong community that's helpful to newcomers. Part of the community consists of bloggers like Werit and Shadow WAR. That's where the action has been lately.

I have been considering coming back to WAR. It is good to hear there is still a community there and they are helpful. I like what they did with city sieges in the recent patch, sounds like it is getting good feedback from the players.

I re-activated my account a week ago; since then i've been having fun with my rank 35 Warrior Priest!A lot of T4 action and crazy sieges taking place! Can't wait for patch 1.3.5

I'm NOT a PvP fan, but i liked the unlimited trial of war. The skirmish is cool, for a quick kick ass. However, the lack of gamers in the end game, and more things to do within the game, didn't convinced me to sub. A few days and i got tired and bored. That's why i think an mmo must have a solid PvE to change sometimes and add more diversity to the game.

Warhammer does have solid pve...I leveled a chosen to 40 almost entirely doing public quests with a couple friends. The rewards are great and most of them are fun. If you mean raiding, war has always been abou rvr. Sieges and keep swapping are their raiding. If you don't love rvr and pvp, then sadly, war won't offer you too much.

Unfortunately the population makes it hard to find players of all lower levels to play with.

Not sure what server you were on but , Im on badlands , and there is no lack of end game content , or people to fight (rvr) scenarios pop regularly Ive been back for about a month and 1/2 and LOVING it , 1.3.5 just put that much more of a cherry on top for me . Anyone that reads this , I suggest you try it again , so much has changed for the good , and you can tell they are working hard on the game.

I actually decided to give that unlimited trial of theirs a shot, having fun so far.

I might even re-activate my retail account. :D

Yes, i was thinking about raiding... I'm sure RvR is going nuts right now, but in the long run i doubt that it's not going to be the same thing over and over again. And yes, few players to play with, that's a big issue in the game, war ir really dependent on population... I had a really hard time to make some public quests.

T1 and t4 are very populated (at least on badlands). Its in between where you run into trouble finding people to play with and its actually easy to level to 40 if you go to land of the dead. you can get to max level in 1-2 weeks depending on how much you play. there is always action in t4 and its a blast. just be prepared to get your but kicked alot until you get good gear.

Hey I have a question for all you still playing War: When I used to play the game (the first months after it launched) there was a very very irritant problem, the crashes to desktop. Anytime I tried to join the main city or during a siege, after some minutes I crashed to desktop.
One thing that helped me diminish this problem was to totally lower the graphics.
This problem was the main reason I stopped playing.

Nowadays is this problem over? Does ppl with 5770 video card have problem playing War?

Thx =)

I don't know about the specifics of your video card, but stability and usability of the game has increased across the board. I crashed last night for the first time in probably two months, and I half-expected it to happen. I run at full settings and dove into what was probably close to 50 enemy players with another 20 friendlys with me, all in a very small space (one battlefield objective).

Stability has improved drastically.

I've been thinking about giving WAR another try and it's looking interesting.

Oddly, I don't seem to be able to find much information on the talents and crafting in the game...
