It was Fallen Earth. It looked and played terrible, felt like it was made 10 years ago.
But I paid more than I paid for some modern, FINISHED games.

Eventually the guilt lead to me quitting and asking for a refund, it wasn't a finished or well-working product.

I actually have to say WoW. I love it and hate it. Most of the time I am happy to just chat about whatever it is I am playing. Heck I even tried out Hello Kitty. Real men play HKO /flex

Warhammer..

The development process of the game is almost shameful, the billing fiasco was something for MMO lore, patches typical result in more problems than they fix, and its probably going to go down as one of the greatest IPs, and hyped games to not live up to its potential... however...

When i want PvP, its there almost instantly. I can log in, play for a half hour before dinner, and accomplish something. Add to that, RvR can be completely frusterating, and at other times the most enjoyable moments i have in MMOs...

WoW. It would be a really good game if not for the terrible stigma around its players (some stereotypes I actually fit, making everything worse). Not that the community cares what kind of fetid hole it digs for itself...

but...but.. I like Boyz 2 Men. Motownphilly is not only back again, it never left.

And I'm proud to have played Everquest Online Adventures.

I feel guilty for having dumped so much time into WoW a few years back. I've got a 70 Rogue Lieutenant General for those who know what that means. I could have been advancing an EvE character or playing some of the better console games I missed out on.

Aion, because I really really really wanted to get away from the "grindy" type of genre after saying warcraft was a waste of time earlier this year...here I am, rocking my templar up to lvl 36 with a few abyss items. Lulz!

The community on Lumiel is one of the best I've found though in a very, very, very long time.

I don't feel bad about having liked any game. I do, however, feel some level of regret over how many hours of my life I wasted playing Everquest.

Wizard 101....I hate to admit it but it is the best of the kiddie mmos. I love everything about it.

Earth Eternal....another "kiddie" mmo... it feels like WoW lite and I mean that in a very good way.

Alganon(puts on flame resistant suit)....the game has potential, I don't really play it anymore mainly cause I think Derek Smart is a douche and I feel as if playing the game would be like giving my thumbs up to his pathetic behavior.

I'm not sure if I "feel bad" about playing Warhammer Online, but we certainly have an on-off relationship.

I like it, but intellectually I know it's got its weak points. For me, its most grievous sin is that the gameplay is pretty damn shallow. The PvE has gotten noticeably better since launch, but it's still not stellar, and the PvP still feels like (to me) that it's a case of "Make your _own_ fun kids, but pay us $15 a month to do it!"

So, I keep re-upping semi-regularly, and I have fun ... for about a month. And then I drift away and cancel, because games with more depth catch my interest.

There's a faction who can't wait to see Warhammer Online die. I don't want it to die, I just want the game to be more than it is now. I don't even need perfection, or even awesome, just ... better.

I don't think I could play a game I was ashamed of playing - if I like something then I say so, no regrets. As for games that most people hate, but that I like - I can't think of any, but I'd have no shame/regrets there either - different horses for different courses - although I did try to persuade one of my friends to stop playing Evony/Civony for his own good :p

The only MMO I play currently is City of Heroes/Villains - lots of people say it's repetitive, but in ten years of playing most of the major western MMOs CoH/V is the only one I've found with any longevity due to its replayability.
