I'll second what Wade said. Aion always looks like a game I'd want to play but the heavy emphasis on pvp is really a turn off for me personally. Still, I'm looking forward to hearing more about this game and your current adventure through its content.

I think he should do at least one craft. The RNG sucks all the fun out of it later on, but it's not like he's going to make it to that level. I thought the crafting area was pretty neat and the work order system was cool.

I voted for Handicrafting twice out of spite since I was looking forward to some AoC.

I LOVE Aion, specially after when bots were handled. Yes there are still some around, but it's not as frequent. Resubbed 2 months ago and only saw 3 (and all in theo, but kept reporting and one got banned).

My suggestion is that you don't spend time on crafting, it's really expensive, but it can make you some kick ass gear.

Playing on Lumiel I don't have problems finding people to pvp with, but usually that requires me to rift through OR create pvp situations.
Wanna lure those lovely people to the abyss? Grief lowbies long enough and you shall :)

"here I am again killing the same things in the same lake environment."

This is really what got to me about this game. And I know it's the same in other MMOs, but they tend to do it as you go up in level, there's not as much a "moment" where you're allegedly tons more powerful than you were.

When I was level 5 and they told me to kill 10 rats, I figured I'm just some scrub mortal, these are the kinds of things mortals do.

At level 10 I ascended into immortality! With my wings I was one step closer to my ultimate destiny, fighting in a battle that transcended the shattered world against those who were once my brothers and those who were once my masters. Two steps removed from the Creator itself, I was a powerful force to be reckoned with, one which was to shape the destiny of things to come.

And then they had me kill 10 rats.
