Pretty sure Bioware already said it would be Q2 of 2011.
This entire post just says "Hey guess what, it wont be out before Q2 of 2011". Whats the point of this?

I'd rather it be ready upon release than rushed. Take your time, BioWare.

Have to agree with this.

Take all the time you want Bioware. You jumped the gun a bit early with the hyping IMO but I'll forgive you with news of Baldur's Gate 3. :)

"...and CFO Eric Brown later referred specifically to the game as not being part of the '11 fiscal year forecast. The period under discussion ends on March 31st, 2011, which means that we can still look for the game early next year..."

Fiscal year 2011 is October 1, 2010 to September 30, 2011. Where did you get March 31st from?

Different companies have different fiscal years. For Electronic Arts the fiscal year runs April 1 through March 31.

See EA's report here: http://www.marketwatch.com/story/ea-reports-fourth-quarter-and-fiscal-year-2010-results-2010-05-11?reflink=MW_news_stmp

TOR getting delayed is a good thing. Too many MMOs launch as quickly as possible and launch in a buggy state that hurts their chances due to bad word of mouth on the buggy unfinished state of the game. Let TOR take as long as it wants, putting itself at a minimum of WoW level polish. Launching this game in as close to a complete, bug-free state is not bad at all.

I was just using the quickest wording I could. Sorry, I didn't want to type out "TOR's projected release date not being as early as we expected it is a good thing", so I just typed "TOR being delayed is a good thing". Sheesh the nitpicking...

Fine, let me revise what I said again.

"The fan-assumed release date for TOR being pushed back to a date closer to the actual date than what fans assumed is a good thing."

Better?

The Dark Side of my heart says I don't expect it to be released until the Spring of 2012. But the Light Side of my brain says a 2011 Xmas release is possible. I always go with the Dark Side in the Star Wars Expanded Universe.

Good.

I've seen the gameplay videos and it looks like it needs a lot of work. Make sure everything is fluid and interesting. Try to make any changes possible so it doesn't end up playing exactly like WoW/WAR.

Normally I'd be more upset at a good looking MMO being pushed back. But now, after all the mmo's I've been disappointed in. I don't even care. They just need to take their time.

If this keeps getting delayed, Im going to have to commission the local asylum to lend me some patients for a backyard The Old Republic LARP.

''Okay, this is Coruscant guys. Criminally insane, you folks are playing Sith today. Manic Depressives, Im looking at you guys to rock Bounty Hunters...bedpans are jetpacks! Lobotomy, we need you for the Jedi Master. Doogle! Inquisitors do NOT chew lightsabers! No! ''

...back to waiting.
