I hope you're being sarcastic, if not you're an idiot.

Granted that this Heroes of Might and Magic Online is horrible, Ubisoft still releases amazing games, from Assassins Creed 1 & 2, Splinter Cell, Setllers, just to name a few.

nt is not an idiot. Ubi doesn't give a rats butt about you or anything else. They just care about bottom line. They are the kings of crippling any software you have with DRM ( they just call it some fluffy marketing term ). Any new ubi game you WILL NEED to be online ALL the time, and if you disconnect well you will find out the hard way.

I might be wrong but i would venture a guess the op is referring to ubisofts lousy customer service and even more horrific DRM downtime. Ubisofts DRM servers are down more than a D street hooker and their forums and tech support are a joke.

An example would be placing a technical question for one game and having an auto answer and "supposed" live tech give you the answer to your problem or ask about..................something 90 degrees from what you posted, very very dismal support. DRM that is down..alot, this means the titles that need the authentication wont work, which is a crapload of them.

I have been trying for months to get a patch for a save crash on win7 with dawn of discovery, that and their DRM servers being down more than 3 days a week regularly.

I was so super excited when i found out that my old school turn based game was coming back! And then i found out this is yet another game with a rip you off nickle and dime the player cash shop.
some of the items being sold in the cash shop will be items that increase xp and other improvements so players that pay with their credit cards will have advantages over other players. now im sad. way to ruin a classic game.

Overall the gameplay dynamic was enjoyable.
Unfortunately the font they chose was terrible, and thats for the text that was even in english.
And god forbid you try to do a quest on the overworld.
It'll randomly kick you out of the random battles and then you won't be able to interact with anything, I had to relog 8 times to get a single quest done.

Four comments and not one mentioning that the acceptable abbreviation is "HOMM"? The PC gaming mags are rolling in their graves.

Which would make Heroes of Might and Magic Online = HoMMO

Which is why it is not HoMMO.

And is instead HoMaMO.

Because people are ridiculously immature and couldn't handle it otherwise.

Add in the many "character stuck" bugs, no character select, getting from quest land to the hub is pretty difficult and not clearly explained. Also the hub is the only way to get to your city. Limited army amounts based on your level. Nearly 150 levels. Game has the graphics of HOMM 3, maybe a bit worse. If they spent the time to make the game as good as the cutscenes, it may have had a chance.

It's RedStone with slightly higher res graphics. Which is, you know, something.

Wow, thought this might be worth looking at, as I was a huge fan of the original HOMM...

Then I noticed it was an Ubi product, and from what's being said here, it sounds like its a ripoff in the same vein as Evony, Ikariam, etc.

Pass. Simply because it's by Ubi.

Loved the original games from way back, tried to get this to work couldn't... Looked at some of the screen-shots, wasn't too upset couldn't get it to work. Sad...

"Ubisoft still releases amazing games"

..and here is the correct procedure for playing these amazing games.

1) Buy said game from your local games shop.
2) Throw the broken, crippled piece of garbage you just bought in the bin
3) Download a pirated version (don't worry, they're all on the pirate bay the day they're released, if not sooner) so you can actually play and enjoy the amazing game you just paid for

Don't you people forget it's still in beta? It's meant and bound to be bugged, if you want to see "beta" game fully working, wait a few months and try then ; ).

Other than that, I'm worried seeing the main page. I'm downloading, we'll see.
Plus, I don't think hommo is very fortunate abbreviation ^^. Though I wish it was, to me nothing's wrong with "homo", and I'm full hetero. But that's not the place for such topics...

To quote a knowledgeable and stylish figure from LA:

"Are you seeing planes? Is your name Tattoo? Because I swear to God, you're living on Fantasy Island."

Claiming it's beta is so last month, Sarr. Sheesh.
And thanks for the Political Correctness tip. I'd be lost without it!

What?

Sorry Amana, but if you call my own personal, honest opinion a "political correctness", that's your problem. If knew me, you'd know I'm a totally "uncorrect" rebel my whole life ^^.
Besides, I live in Poland, where it's unpopular and politically disastrous to have such opinions.

You seem personally moved by my comment, why? I reminded it's beta, because complaints about bugs in game which is officially in bugged state (beta) are pointless. Well, to say the least...

Someone's had a bad day I guess? Relax.
