Another shitty game in the works? What about trying to fix Star Trek Online? No wait, you are right: it's beyond any hope.

I won't buy anything from Cryptic again. After what they did to my beloved franchise (Star Trek) they are next to SOE in my hate list. Anyone who played SWG before the NGE knows what that means.

Uh, they aren othing like SOE. SOE doesn't spit out the exact same cookie-cutter game every 6-months with a different skin

I just hate them both, for different reasons, but still I hate them.

Why will they try and fix STO? Cryptic's more interested in box sales than subscriptions.

"Cryptic's more interested in box sales than subscriptions."

Speaking of which, lifetime subscriptions are available for this title now and for a limited time only! That's right folks, you can buy a lifetime subscription for this game right from now, up until the time they announce the title!

Didn't play Champion Online but I liked Star Trek and only reason I don't play it any more is because I don't have time to play more games then EVE. Definitely will give this new title a chance.

Cryptic is a two-time loser in my book after trying CO & STO

whatever this turns out to be...I'll pass

So The Secret World isn't even released and there's already clones of it?

They pump out MMOs that are just like re-skins of the last one. They are the Stephen King of MMOs!

"new design principles merged with Cryptic's community-first approach to ongoing development."

Yeah that line made me crack up as well.

Their "community" during beta told them over and over that the way STO was designed would only hold people's interest for a month. Everyone told them they were creating a single player game and a game that wasn't very social friendly. Nope they knew better then their "community", because they are always "Company First" in their development. Quickest and laziest way to develop something cheap and crappy, so they can try to sell it before word gets out how terrible the product is.

What are the chances that with an announcement in summer, the game will beta early autumn and then release 3 days after the beta?

I'm thinking it's going to be a "Lost World" type of game, myself. Dinosaurs, jungles, ruined cities -- that sort of stuff.

So, I'd say Tomb Raider + Jurassic Park + The Mummy, with perhaps with a side order of steampunk? (airships and such?)

Well if they have the money to burn....

You know the old saying:

"throw enough sh*t at the wall, some of it will eventually stick"
