Hmmm... this game sounds like it sucks. I was interested in it from the storyline and graphics perspective but the questions that are being addressed in this article makes it sound like it need to do a total 180 before I would subscribe.

Looks like the beta version is failing at the most basic level of gameplay with little character customization, repetitive gameplay, and too little variety among other issues, and the basic response is "We'll fix it, trust us." I don't think i can. I just lost all interest in this game.

Wow, I hope you don't give up on other things in life this easy. That *is* the purpose of an Alpha test, you know - to see if their systems are going to work as planned.

To Jarin,

It'd be less of a concern if this wasn't consistently a problem with every MMO on the market. Doubly so because this is a Korean based game and therefore prone to problems borne from the pay-by-hour scheme.

This game is picking a concept that is perceived to be flawed from the outset, and the alpha is verifying it's still flawed. The first thing Bluehole needs to do is demonstrate it's going to correct the problems we've already seen in recent offerings like Aion. They're not dead yet, but there's also no evidence they have any idea how to turn it around.

It's good they're recognizing the problems, but until solutions are presented there's really nothing to discuss except this game is just repeating past MMO mistakes.

To add to SirNiko's point, it is doubly troubling that most, if not all, of the people working on Tera also worked on Aion. It's disconcerting to see that Tera is having some of the same game play problems that plagued Aion.

When Korean testers are complaining about poor soloability you know the game has problems!

Yeah, it's really weird; it's as though, looking at the concerns players raised, the studio has no idea what players will find fun? So many items are "we're working on implementing" -- shouldn't they have been implemented from the start? I didn't see any OUT THERE requests like removing all the brown M&Ms or anything: you didn't think that character customization or content that is new and varied would matter to players?

Yep, sounds like another forced socialist game.

Of course with todays weak minded youth and MMO folks being raised to think MMO means mandatory party and guilds instead of when you want them, the garbage will continue to flow along with misinformed, ignorant comments like "go play a single player game".........in which i happily reply, of course.

The Q/A was very disappointing and sounds like a game just in the initial design stage and not a game in the "3rd closed open house letting players try it to see what they think of our work so far mode".

The feedback, negative in all aspects.

Forced socialist game?
Is there some sort of mandatory tax on higher geared players to help lower geared players and lessen the gap between raider and casual?

Huh...

"We plan to add..."

"We're looking at adding......"

I'll pass until they actually know what the hell they're planning and doing.

Shame, I was looking forward to this.

Seems like with every new MMO there seems the same old problems - lack of content, lack of individualism, customisation and originality. When will compaines learn and listen to its player base - is it so hard to research what players want and build that game from the ground up?

More TERA fansite favoritism. What is this, the third or fourth Curse-sponsored article here? Jesus, wish I had the money to pay for these.
