Players often complain that development teams rarely address their feedback, or even listen at all. Aventurine's Tasos does both in a lengthy post over on the official Darkfall forums. He touches on a number of planned improvements for the PvP-focused fantasy MMORPG, including faster skill progression, diminishing stat returns, and improvements to the game's PvE options.
"We agree that skill progression needs to be made more interesting, that special quests need to be introduced; unique mobs, unique items and many of your suggestions in this area are being looked at already. Furthermore as we mentioned, quests and dungeons are being revamped, the entire system is being made as to connect the dots and give more meaning to adventuring in the game," Tasos says.
Check out the post and as well as player response at the Darkfall official forums.

The next expansion in June is looking like it could be a good one. Combine that with the expansion in Q4 and DF will have come a long way in 2010

When will gamers learn? Inevitably, the excuse comes from the developer around a year after launch that "they're revamping" things, or "rethinking" something or "connecting the dots" as Tasos says here.
Shouldn't that stuff be done before it launches?
Here's an idea, if the studios need to continue to fund development (which is all they are doing), release the game for sale for half price and don't charge a monthly fee for the first year. Essentially, a live beta, and CALL IT THAT.
Players are chumps for putting up with this time after time.

Summery: Darkfall figures out that people tend to want a game in their MMO.

Darkfall is a great MMORPG. The only MMO on the market where losing really means something. Lose your gear. Lose your lands. Can't wait to see the what this years expansions will bring.

Sadly, DFO is another good idea that went wrong due to bad timing and bad understanding of what makes a great PvP game. All those business fumbles made by Aventurine surely didn't help.
Darkfall is going the same direction its home country is heading to.

Played this game from launch, if we are all real about this game theres not allot to do except run round and look for PVP. Gets boring after wwhile. PVE is also very boring after doing it for a year and a bit...
This game needs way more toys in the sandbox to keep players coming back month on month.
