I was actually pretty excited for a moment there and registered on the Perpetuum site after reading the FAQ etc. but then I listened to the interview and the guy said that it was open PVP like EVE the further you get from the bases, which seemed in contradiction to the flagging system that is mentioned on the site..and my interest went..

although I love Mechs/robots..I have zero interest in PVP, only PVE...and this game seems another EVE in that regard as being pretty much just for the PVPers..

Ah well, it was a nice bit of excitement, while it lasted... :(

Mark,

Currently there are a total of six islands. Three inner islands and three outer islands. The three innder islands are totally free of Open PVP. The three outer islands have Open PVP outside of the Police towers.

There is a aggression and flagging system even on the outer islands or as we call them PVP Islands.

Let me point out that I am stoked to see a new game coming that is an indie studio and doesn' thave to bow a knee to mofo's like Sony, time Warner, EA.Lucas Arts. or whom ever. I am stoked that the game has a skill system. And I am extremely stoked it is a mech\robot based game.

Move on from the Eve terms. Support indie studios!
