If you've been enjoying the Dungeon Fighter Online beta, you'll be happy to hear that the game is expanding a bit more. Nexon has announced the addition of "Awakening," a quest series that promises to let players "heighten their fighting senses" through more specialized fighting styles.
Players will be given the option to choose a subclass at level 18. Once they reach level 48, the Awakening quest line opens the door to refine that subclass into a super subclass. Each advancement will unlock one new active and passive skill, advancing that subclass and increasing its power.
The newest DFO Magazine offers a great look into this new feature, giving a description of active and passive skills. Even better, tips are included for each class, giving you a little head start on using your skills more effectively.
This update will arrive April 28th, so take a look at the overview to be ready for your Awakening!

I love DFO, but the awakening thing isn't really a new subclass. Sort of abuses the term. It's just the point where you get a very nice super.
Regardless of the abuse of words, if you vaguely like beatemups, try DFO. Play till like level 11 or 16, you'll have a good amoutn of skills by then. The combat is quite good, especially with friends. Much more fun leveling than most normal MMOs.

Yeah, and this "Awakening" thing isn't all that new, this is just an announcement of the second round of Awakenings they are adding into the game.

Just for anyone who might read this; the above posters hit it on the nail with the awakening thing; 3 of the 19 (in the US version) "subclasses" had already awakened and they just announced that they're going to release a new block of 6 more in the next couple weeks (along with guilds).
If you haven't tried it (or did and hated it), pick it up (or back up!). The playerbase is young so hopefully you can bring some mature friends in with you, the leveling rate is drastically improved from what it was like late last year, and it actually seems like Nexon-US is finally devoting the necessary resources to bringing one of Asia's biggest games to the US without killing it in beta.

It took them years before they made Mabinogi european so I'll guess this should take twice as long.
