I tend to explain things to people but when they don't listen to me I just kick them. And it's always when they don't listen to me that we fail miserably or they fail miserably and the rest of the team has to carry them.

I expect courtesy, just as I would from strangers I meet in real life.

If someone doesn't know the mechanics for a fight or hasn't been in a dungeon before, I expect them to say so and ask the rest of the group what they should know. I don't mind explaining things, and I would ask the same of my group if I didn't know a fight.

More important than that, however, is the courtesy of being prepared for whatever activity you engage in. I once healed a tank in a WoW heroic whose shield broke during the run--down to zero durability--and he teleported out of the dungeon in the middle of combat in order to repair, leaving the rest of us to die in his absence. What kind of person does that? It's not that hard to repair your armor before a run, and even if you forget, man up and take the wipe with the rest of us before you port out. We might have actually survived the trash pull if he'd stayed.

Basic courtesy. That's all.

Being good at the game, and succeeding is what is fun to me, be it PvP, PvE or whatever, so I take the time to learn all the ins and outs, and learning those things is "the game" for me.

I tend to prefer surrounding myself with like minded people, often forced to teach others or form guilds to create such an atmosphere.

Sadly there is a burnout point where I simply can no longer tolerate explaining the most basic of mechanics. I have no problem talking out specific encounters, but I expect competence at the very least. Anything less becomes "un-fun" for me.
