One of the things that I have always found confusing about EVE are the number of different permissions and roles that can be set up in corporations. For people who are thinking of starting their own corp, I think it could be very useful to have an overview of what the various permissions are, what they do, and how you can use them to effectively delegate corporation responsibilities.

I love your column, and I have a number of ideas for future ones, and I apologize if a couple of them have been done already.

Perhaps a spotlight on the mining industry in EVE (I feel like this has been done).

I really enjoyed your columns on the importance of motivation within a corporation and corporate goals, I think it would be interesting to see a column about managing large alliances, especially those heavily into PvP, as it seems like an incredibly daunting task.

Maybe something to do with more of the fiction and backstory?

One of the things I really feel I'm missing out on in EVE is the relation to the story - there's a veritable library of chronicles, two full novels, short stories, mock scientific articles, a wiki, and mounds of fan-produced stories.

It might be interesting to review novels, or chronicles, or maybe profile particular key people (e.g. Jamyl) or places, as you did briefly in the "Trade Hubs" section.

I'd find it interesting, and there's a whole lot of stuff to use there :)

Obviously a guide to Tyrannis and planet industry!

Perhaps a column on the future of Tech III ships. It would be interesting to hear speculation on timeframe, possible roles, whether not not CCP retaining the skill loss on death is good or/bad, and discussion on how their extreme modularity would make the average player feel.

And of course, Tech III Capitals would need a mention... Now there's a scary thought.

I'm a bit sorry and embarrased now how I flamed you about EveHQ. You do a great job writing and covering Eve. Thanks and keep up the good work.

I'd like to read more about volunteer jobs in Eve Online, the ISD program. Topics to discuss could be: what jobs do these volunteers do, what does it take to join, how does it affect your gameplay, what are the benefits or drawbacks? Actual player experience with the program would also be valuable; there is some information on jobs and tasks on the main eveonline site but it's all pretty sketchy.

Love your columns, they don't necessarily tell me new things about the game but are always an entertaining read. I'm sure a lot of new players have been brought to Eve through your writing.

Some topic suggestions:

- An updated post about current out of game tools (some of which make use of the API, particularly with the new revamped ingame browser in mind).
- A post about Killboards and the e-honor that's surrounding them. For example, a new and exciting approach to presenting the many kills in Eve is http://eve-arena.com/. Some of the old classics are http://eve-kill.net/ and http://www.battleclinic.com/.
- A guide to flying Tacklers, following up your posts about Remote Repairing ships. Interceptors are of particular interest, because they have a completely different "feel" to them than any other ship class and are a lot of (affordable) fun, especially for beginning pvpers and for people who want to try something new in Eve.
- A post about the fascinatingly different ways players of different nationalities group up together, sometimes form real-life-alike monolingual power blocks and sometimes completely blend in.
- Female players in Eve (a rarity). ;)

That should do for now. ;)

I would suggest a what-if column about ship customization. This could include slight appearance mods like paint schemes and vanity pieces all the way to significant skin changes like custom body parts (think Tech III) and ship interiors (once Incarna has set the stage for such advancement).

One reason this topic has such a huge appeal to me is my own personal favorite ship in Eve; the Dominix. This girl is only a beauty in combat. I would love to have some control over what this ship looks like, so if a column from Massively could possibly sew the seeds of inspiration for CCP to take on such a project, my Domi and I would be forever in your debt.

Greets, while I've really enjoyed much of the content you've put up over the last year. And while CCP really owes my sub to your guides which gave me the will to tackle the daunting behemoth that is EVE I'd like to see you go an all new direction with some of your posts. If your up for it and your creativity muscles are ready to flex I'd love to see a series of articles that talk about some of the major events that take place in EVE.

Being a sandbox in design I think that true global events are one of rare treats which EVE offers its players that very few other MMO's can match. And while I perhaps don't play as much as some of your other readers I find it hard to keep up with many of the major events which are taking place in EVE. You know, corp's, battles, turf and the like. I'd love to have a monthly write up from you which talks about the major events in EVE and presents them in a story setting. By doing this even people outside of EVE could enjoy them and possibly be enticed to test the shark infested waters of EVE Online.

Thanks for looking in and keep up the good work!

I'd love to see an in-depth guide to capital / super capital ships, including how they are deployed, fitted, and how things have changed for capital warfare pre/post dominion. I find that there is a big mist which always surrounds capital and super capital warfare, more so with the super capitals. A serious peek inside this 'exclusive club' maybe with interviews from different pilots using caps and super caps in eve online, from SC to NC to Chibbra and his mining Titans.

New EVE player here and I've been reading non-stop about the game mechanics since I started. However I play MMOs for the social nature of the game so my suggestions skew towards the political/social realm. Although I've found a corp to join, I'm still left with alot of questions that game mechanic guides cannot answer. So I preface all these questions as a new player in EVE who wants to know more.

1. I would love a new series about the political landscape of New Eden. Who are the main players dominating the game since the collapse of Goonswarm (or whatever major alliance/corp)? What are the main alliances? What are the geographic regions they control? A kind of primer about these corps/alliances and about their mission statement and aims would be great. I guess I'm curious about the "social history" of EVE.

2. EVE's Most Wanted. What infamous/heinous acts have the rogues of EVE done? Maybe an interview with them? Are they a Robin Hood? Are they self interested? Any infamous shootouts by people attempting to bring these wanted capsuleers to justice?

3. Roleplaying: Guide to players who want to roleplay in EVE. What are major corps involved in RPing? How does a new EVE player get involved in this?

4. Tourist guide to EVE: What are the must see sites in New Eden? From the EVE Gate to the most awe inspiring systems, starfields, and even planets.

I think an article on "bounty hunting" would be a nice read. It doesn't get much attention and lets be honest, if your career is a bounty hunter, you must be pretty damn cool. So.. Does the current system work? Are there any big time bounty hunters in Eve making a living finding and killing those with massive amounts of ISK on their heads? Is there actually any point putting a bounty on someones head? Or is a bounty simply a bragging right to show how badass you are? :)

bounty hunting doesn't work as a career choice atm in EVE. as soon as any substantial bounty is put on a pilots head they usually get an alt to pod them and claim it (jumping into and implantless clone first).

Hey there, love the column, and I'm glad to see that your output and guides are having a positive impact on the way people play the game! It's always great to be able to give interested players a head start into figuring out how some of the more advanced aspects of EVE work.

A couple of suggestions I'd like to throw out there,

-The changing face of warfare. Now I know that your alliance likes to stick to a lot of empire operations (bathing in money, as it were) but some of the most interesting interactions happen out in 0.0, in the wars between nullsec alliances. Dominion's release, for example, changed the way sovereignty operates as a whole, but this had a huge indirect impact on all manner of warfare strategies for these alliances, but a lot of the clever changes to the way ships are deployed never see the light of day in major forum discussions. Looking at how the EVE alliance warfare meta has changed over a period of time (maybe six months to a year) could be an interesting look into the way nullsec alliances solve problems.

-Drone Guide. Drones are one of those things in EVE that are often overlooked by some players. Some people just never bother training drone skills, not seeing them as significant, and others take drone skills but don't know how to get the most out of their little automated buddies! There are a number of tricks to drone use, including hotkey settings, bandwidth/bay space, specialization skills, grouping, drone assignment, fielding drones with specific racial attributes, and knowing where and how to make use of E-war or sentry drones, not to mention the unique abilities of carrier-class Fighter and Bomber drones. Drones can be a huge part of almost ANY ship's performance, providing everything from additional damage to being able to web enemy ships or jam their sensors temporarily. As a pilot who has made his EVE career out of utilizing drones, I think it would be fantastic to put together a fairly comprehensive guide to using drones in EVE.
