My kids used to enjoy this a lot.... sadly, I got a new machine with Windows 7 and it doesn't run anymore. The ToonTown tech support site is sadly lacking.

I have to admit, although I originally got a subscription for the kids, I've enjoyed messing around in ToonTown over the years. The combat system is surprisingly rich because of the various interactions of powers between players and the fact that you can't directly talk to your teammates during a battle. It's a little like a cross between Final Fantasy and Bridge bidding where you put up a power to see if someone will support you, or quickly swap out an action that someone else will totally negate.

The only real negative aspect of the game is the baiting going on at the "raid" elevators, with people jumping on and off trying to get others to start a raid with insufficient numbers.

The billing and customer service are terrible in my experience. My little brother played this game for a wile, he quit and after about four months my parents called me up to ask how to cancel the account since he didn't play anymore. Turns out they forgot the password (the password was something chosen by my little brother as he was the one using the account) and couldn't log into the site. The customer service on the phone wouldn't stop the charges even when given the info attached to the card and the account and said the only way to cancel was to use the website. They continued to charge until the credit card company was told to stop all charges.
