If you're a fan of the upcoming DC Universe Online and wish there were ways to be more directly heard by the developers -- or to hear more directly from the developers -- your ship has just come in. This Sunday, the developers are holding a special live chat via Facebook, allowing fans the opportunity to talk with them and get updates on the status of the game straight from the source. Game director Chris Cao, senior producer Wes Yanagi, creative director Jens Andersen, and art director Mark Anderson will all be available for questions or speculation.
The best part? All you have to do is become a fan on the official DC Universe Online fan page (again, on Facebook) to take part in the chat. Running from 6 PM to 9 PM EST (3 PM to 6 PM PST), it should be a great opportunity to chat with developers about the state of the game and how it's coming along. So mark the spot down on your calendars, and keep your eyes on the fan page for more details on connecting as the event arrives.

I don't even know what this game is about (aside from having a DC theme). Do players create their own Super Heroes similar to CoX and CO? Or... what?
Anytime I've been drawn to read something about it, I can't seem to get past staring at Power Girl's chest (e.g. http://dcuo.station.sony.com/) for a few seconds before getting bored and moving on to something else.
Can anyone offer up a summary of what we know about this game minus the cleavage? Much appreciated! :)

For myself, I am expecting this to be an upgrade from CoH and Champions. NCSoft never really pushed for any real improvements to City of Heroes until Champions went into beta, plus after playing some NCSoft games, my view of them has become tarnished. Champions is fun and I'd be perfectly satisfied if I was into mostly PvE missions.
The reason I see DC Online as promising is the ability to choose a faction (hero/villain) and actually face off against them in missions. Also the DCO devs in the video mentioned concepts such as power "buckets" in accenting skills and abilities. Hard to know what to actually expect without an active beta, but I do hope it turns out to be a good game.

No. There will be some instances, but it will start out with 2 large open cities. Metropolis and Gotham.
