I still never understood their mindset releasing with the lazy PvP system they created. I could see if it was a total PvE game, then it would be fine. But they decided to release a game that was billed as Faction vs Faction, where one of those Factions were 95% PvP reliant.

Is this game so dead already an 18 hour old story about the PvP has one comment? The 4 hour old World of Tanks story has as many.

Nah man, they just don't have enough time to check the blogs they're playing so much STO. Right?

All PvP in STO is heavily instanced arena pvp, even the somewhat larger capture and hold scenarios in space.

I quite like ground pvp much more than ground pve, as the system shows its strengths and not only its flaws, but in general I play PvP on only two maps:

Cracked Planetoid & the Capture and Hold Map. Sometimes Solar Wind, which has a somewhat disorienting "solar wind" effect, and this is probably the reason why people rather queue up for Cracked Planetoid.

I have a Klingon and a Fed at max rank, and PvP simply won't get great because of the immense imbalance.

1.) Fed population dwarfs the almost pvp-only Klingon population. A Fed pvp queue lasts sometimes for AGES, Klingons often get into right away.

2.) A faction that cries "PvP usually fights against a PvE heavy faction. This usually results in bloody murder and 15:1-3 wins for the Klingons. There are also some balance issues they are working on, but in general PvP is only enjoyable for the Klingon side. Doing pvp quests on my Fed char might take days due to the queue, I just don't have time to wait for so long in the queue!

And the major issue is the game, like Champions Online, needs a TON more content. Quickly.

They need to add some more story missions at Admiral level. There were amazingly fun missions like the "Doomsday Device" and the "Guardian of Forever" and later a fight against a "Romulan Scimitar" lookalike.

I could also image a PvP Fleet Action, because this is what people often do in Capture & Hold: They give a damn about capping objectives and just have a space brawl and shoot each other. This is also what people do in the Borg Space War Zones.

These two modes would be a great addition to the game.
