Good interview, plus it's the sort of company that lets their staff wear cat ears on their heads. What's not to like?

"..since Mark Gerhard became CEO, we've really opened up channels of communication with players, as well as adopting a much more direct, honest and frank approach with the information we give out."

So erm, beforehand you were shelling out indirect, dishonest and verbose BS?
Actually I guess you were, like most PR depts.

I was looking at the blurb on ST:O's Steam page earlier. Check this out:

"Explore strange new worlds and seek out new life and new civilizations in a vast, expanding universe. Establish contact with new races, discover resources and uncover mysteries that will influence Star Trek's future."

"The Star Trek universe will appear for the first time on a truly massive scale."

"Become a Klingon Warlord and expand the Empire to the far reaches of the galaxy."

"Reach out to unexplored star systems, and make contact with new alien species."

"You can maneuver in 3-D space and fire a vast array of weaponry at your enemies."

"Enter warp to explore parts of the galaxy never before documented."

..lol what game are they talking about? Sure as hell isn't the ST:O that I played?

Interesting that you managed to link an article about community outreach in Runescape to a lack of advertised content in STO... I see the connection.
