While the Spring Festival horse issue may be bumming some Lord of the Rings Online players out, there's always one way to deal with it -- get completely hammered in-game! (Out of game hammering is entirely optional, mind you.) Of course, if you do decide to go chasing pink elephants, this is the type of sight that will likely greet you, as captured by Andrew, also known as Pojoh on the Firefoot server. He writes in to explain this blurry Lord of the Rings Online image: "My burg was enjoying the Spring Festival near Bree. [The] objective was simple -- go into a maze, drink some ale, walk out of the maze. When your screen looks like this, well... it's easier said than done. Really loving the festival and the effort that Turbine puts into these things."
Are you taking part in an in-game event in your MMO of choice? If so, why not grab a screenshot of the merriment and send it to us here at oneshots AT massively DOT com. Be sure to include your name, the name of the game and a description of what we're seeing. Yours could be the next one featured here on One Shots!

I wholeheartedly agree, Pojoh.
I enjoyed the free weekend's festivities so much I resubscribed in fact.
What I found, upon logging in last week, was a real sense of community fun and enjoyment, spurred on by some well-designed and varied activities created by the Turbine team.
That maze really has you on the edge of your seat as you're staggering towards the finish line with only 9 seconds to go - end in sight.
Needless to say I failed at one point and ended up being ported to Forochel were I promptly got lost.. it didn't end well at all but oh was it lots of fun =)
And as much as Shrew Stomping is frustrating and repetitive, it really brought people together. I made so many new acquaintances helping out others who were after their 'Tamer of the Shrew' title that it was well worth it. And of course everyone likes to add their own flair to these events to make them even more fun (with music, /fishslapping, dancing, fireworks, etc).
Yes, Lotro still has some kinks in it's questing (far too many fed-ex quests resulting in spending way too much time staring at the countryside whizzing by as you ride from point A, to point B, and back to point A again just to tell an NPC that Farmer Bighobbit didn't know where he was), and yes the Spring Mount vendor issue is annoying, but overall it's a wonderful place to have a great time with others all told.
Playing in The Shire still makes me hungry.. ;)
