Almost more exciting than yet another f2p Korean import being announced for the US.

This is the funny part :). AionSource actually relaunched last month. Even at relaunching the fan forum beat the official garbage forum.

This is a really sadly made, game mechanics wise. While the graphics and avatar creation are great, the end result is a game that is so sour.....well you see by the numbers on the servers, the game is dying, with the 1.9 patch there will be a small spike of curiosity and then the obligatory spin from ncsoft stating the rebirth of Aion west, but that to will die as quickly as this title is.

From what i witnessed and played, the one major mechanic (among one or two others) that has cost ncsoft tens of thousands of players is the pvp mechanic. A very, very few like it and the majority that has left Aion has made their statements with their wallets, which is how it should be, and the pvpr's complain because there is no one to gank, wonder why. This Forum change is a spectacular move in the wrong direction when more important things need to be fixed.

I am presenting one point of view to the Aion argument, a new forums is not going to bring back anyone, fixing the PVP mechanics will. I wont go into the whole morass as i am sure Aion pvp fanfolks, as pitiful few of you there are, and even less prey, will chime in with "you dont know pvp" etc.

And this title needs to merge all servers to one, they may have at most 4500 folks playing this title at peak time across all servers combined, and this is being generous.

Reading the Aion boards is like watching a wagon with one round wheel and one side bolted to a swivel on the floor, the talk is not about the new forums or when they will come out, well two posts were, but the overwhelming majority are on pvp mechanics. Both sides can type to their hearts content, one thing is fact, those "skilled" rifters, never leveling, so they can continue to stay in low level areas and gank low level folks to get easy AP points for gold gear have trashed the game, they can try to counter this argument anyway they can, at the end of the day, the server populations tell the tale.

I have never understood why a business would let itself fail? why a business would let a minority drive paying subs away, it boggles the mind.

This isnt the first title to try and make things look pretty on the outside while the game slowly rots inside.
