In the immediate future, we're focusing on expanding content and the other items I described above. We've been exploring housing, bases, and vehicles, but they aren't at the very top of our list.
They may not be high on your list, but check your forums..new Features as well as content is pretty high on OURs, your subscribers.

Also the issue (if it can be called that) with Teaming, really needs to be viewed in perspective. It isnt that there is no group content, or that it cannot be rewarding.. but in reality that simply most people playing the game for the most part prefer to do thier own thing.

If most people are choosing to do thier own thing and not group, then how is it a design flaw? Its a perfectly valid choice..the only ones complaining are a small vocal group on the forums who feel they can only play IF they team..which blatantly the majority of us, do not share.

Not to be harsh but im a little concerned Cryptic are so worried with thier Rep that this "we are giving them what they want" line of approach is leading you guys to jump on some complaints that arent really valid issues at all.

Stick to what your survey responses tell you like was done with STO..not what you "think" are "our" main concerns as the surveys are a more valid means of guaging what we the subscribers really want and have issues with.

Maybe sticking to surveys of subscribers isn't a good idea for a game that doesn't have the subscription numbers it wants. Maybe the point of group play is to draw back people who want that sort of thing as well as others interested in it.

As far as attracting new subscribers, good luck with your uphill ice skating, Shannon. :)

Who says they dont have the subscription numbers they want?

I play CO most days at some point among other games and each zone still has anywhere between 4 and 10 instances all with plenty of folks on irrespective of the time of day.

Still seems pretty populace to me.

Also how would MORE groupl play when as I noted a) it already exists but people who play generally prefer to do thier own thing, teaming up only for certain missions?

Point being if people have the option already and are choosing not to group..then how as I originally stated in my original comments, is people not grouping a design flaw?

An MMO is simply a game environment with lots of people in it at the same time, there is absolutely no requirement for them to be grouped to qualify. Its entirely possible to be a veyr social environment when having to be physically teamed with other players in the same game. And is.

Better the Resources be geared at more important issues, like fixing existing bugs and balance issues, adding new power sets and features, more end game content and pvp maps... rather than waste time and resources on something people blatantly CAN but DONT already want to use based solely off the gripes of a vocal minority.

When a game has open power selection like Champions, it's possible to min/max your character to the point of not needing to team. As opposed to someone playing a concept character, and may need to team. I don't feel it's a design flaw, and I think most traditional MMO players have no idea what to do with all the freedom and customization that CO provides.

Also, the point in teaming in CO is different. There is no holy trinity. This is an action based game, it's fast paced. Super Group leaders can't define roles and boss people around since teaming has the fun chaos of an X-Men or Avengers comic. I think they have done a great job in replicating teaming as it appears in comics, or team ups, two heroes going through kicking butt like when Spider Man would team up with Ghost Rider for an issue or two.

Players complain they don't 'feel super', then complain when they are super enough to do everything without teaming.

I think teaming in CO is for fun, more so than necessity.

Then again, NemCon is pretty fun, and they are getting better with end game content as Revelations shows. I guess it's a shame that they cannot have 5 years of content and polish right out of the gate.

Wow, no "EXILE BILL ROPER FROM THE VIDJAGAME INDUSTRY" or " BURN CRAPTIC TO TEH GROUND!!111" comments yet? I'm honestly shocked.

As for the teaming issue, I have to say that I don't see a problem at all. I team quite often if I see somebody doing the same mission as me, and only a few people decline my invite. I did the Vibora Bay Crisis map entirely teamed with a couple of my SG mates. In fact, the third member of our trio joined our team because we invited him to our SG. I don't see any major problem with the social aspect, and from what I've heard, the RP community seems to be thriving. I'd much rather see them add new powersets or, like Shannon mentioned, vehicles. Even some new regular travel powers would be appreciated, even if they're just variants of other ones.
