While I'm not sure that "cutesy" is the correct term for this one, I am sort of wondering the same thing. I'm seeing quite a few extremely similar F2P+Cash Shop MMOs being cranked out. I wonder how much longer the market will sustain these in the West, since most of them seem to be quite mediocre. I think they are kind of cheapening the MMO scene. With the exception of Runes of Magic, there isn't one I've seen that actually looks like I'd want to play.

I would personally love to see an anime styled MMO done properly (such as a cell shaded game that makes me feel I'm like I'm in a DECENT fantasy anime setting such as Record of Lodoss War), but all I see are what appear to be generic Korean grindfests.

The CGI trailer on the site looks cool enough, but they spelled 'graphics' wrong on the only page of the website that is accessible. Oops.

I was in the cb of this game. If I was going to compare this to any game. I'd compare it to gPotato's new game Aika. Wasn't very fun to me.

I'm beginning to think that at the rate this F2P korean games come out, I'm thinking the developers are under unhealthy working conditions and stressed to the max with trying to get this crap pumped out almost monthly. It's like gold selling, or trying to do it somewhat legitly..

I know there is big demand in Korea for MMO's, but I find it hard to believe there is enough room in the market to keep churning out these small budget MMO's and still make a profit. Do players in Korea really get excited for these new cash shop MMO's, is it a game of collecting them all and you get a prize? The budgets for these games have to be super tiny ,and development of them must take less then a year, because they are coming out of the woodwork almost daily.

I think a lot of people are missing the analogy here. Imagine this: you're playing WoW and you suddenly decide you want to start a new character, but you're sick of all the idiots on your server, so you pick a new server. The new server has roughly 25,000 players. But once you get there, you realize, "Gosh, I wish I could play the exact same game as this but with THIS major tweak."

Enter WoWClone #4323. It has roughly 25,000 players playing on a single server, but is exactly like WoW with the one major tweak that you always wanted to see in WoW. It's a dream come true! If WoWClone #4323 doesn't have the exact tweak you wanted to see, try WoWClone #2332!

The point is, there's plenty of room in all markets to support hundreds of very similar games, especially considering that each server of WoW is very similar with the only major difference being the players playing on the server. Imagine if each faction of each server of WoW all over the world was a completely differently named game. Now imagine each faction of each server of every major MMO was a differently named game and you will begin to understand the direction of the new MMO market. One game can't become more popular than WoW, but 1000 very similar games can sure give it a run for its money.
