PAX East kicks off today, and Turbine is enjoying the giant party in their hometown of Boston. Even if you can't attend they want you to take part in the festivities, so if you're a fan of Lord of the Rings Online or Dungeons and Dragons Online check out the PAX specials that Turbine is offering.
DDO fans will enjoy a hefty amount of bonus points for purchasing the largest Turbine Points bundle thanks to PAX Power Points. Spending $49.99 usually gets you 5,000 points, but between now and the 28th you'll get 6,900.
We've been hearing quite a bit from Lord of the Rings Online lately, and if all the happenings in Middle-earth have made you consider giving the game a try, this is the weekend to get started. Until the 28th, Turbine is offering the complete LotRO edition all the way up to Siege of Mirkwood, for $9.99.
Both offers last until Sunday night -- the same length as PAX -- so if you weren't able to attend it's a nice consolation gift to yourself. If you were able to attend, it's still a great deal, and we'll see you at PAX!

With Lotro, this is an amazing deal and it is paying off.
Normally the new player population on Brandywine has been booming and growing steadily, but with this deal...it's like the game just got released there are so many new people playing and loving the game.

God $10 is soooo tempting for all 3 boxes. I feel like I should grab even though I have about 3 other MMOs that I already don't have enough time to play.

I've seen (and spoken to) a lot of new players on Eldar (Europe) too - I think LOTRO is picking-up some pace. It's just too bad CodeMasters don't offer this same deal, as it would be a superb way to further build upon this success.

I could use a bit of help .... I wanted to get LOTRO (me and a friend) next week and this sounds like a heck of a deal. My only question is how can we buy this for Europe or how does this actually work.
All help is appreciated :)

Sadly turbine doesn't handle Lotro in the EU. it's run by Codemasters and they don;t make a habit of making the same deals available in the past. EU have had other offers around but for this great deal you most likely will be out of luck.

As if I didn't need yet another great reason to drop money down on LOTRO. I already have too many games on my plate. But $10 for ALL of that? Gah!
I'll probably impulse click "Buy" on sunday before the sale ends...yeah, I probably will lol.

Drop 'em an email and see if it'll work in Europe. It's a download so it's not like they have to mail it to you or anything.
I used to play DDO on the US servers from Europe and I now play LOTRO from the US on the European servers.

LotRO is dying. They made their money. Just watching now for a LotRO NGE.

Sources on your obvious un-factual baised comment?
LOTRO is in no shape or form dying or even falling off the map. In fact, as my post above, there are more people coming to the game now than ever before with the offer they currently have. Even before that, there has been an influx of people into the game (mostly from current WoW boredom) and that are amazed the game is a great as it is and they never heard of it (great Turbine Marketing).
I don't see this game going anywhere near "dying" anytime soon.
