"Launch" page definitely looks like a launcher application site. It probably loads within the launcher. Other MMOs use similar web-based launcher updates. Interesting find.

Only online games that use a web browser to launch are browser games and crappy Korean/Chinese POS games.

Community based or not, the announcement better justify the countdown. Other wise /facepalm.

I did some digging into the code of the countdown script... there's a lot of links to Facebook in there. The links seem to be dead, or at least inactive right now... but something tells me that it's a BioWare/Facebook thing (which is supported by the Community Announcement).

My guess is that Bioware Social Thingy is merged into Facebook's architecture. But that's just my guess.
