Free-to-play titan Runes of Magic celebrated its one-year anniversary with a proclamation that upwards of three million users have registered to explore the fantasy world of Taborea. The Runewaker-developed title currently features 23 servers and over six million player characters spread among three million accounts. Frogster, responsible for publishing the game in North America and Europe, adds that players have killed 7.5 million boss mobs over the title's first year, but have only managed to down the powerful Demon Lord story boss a paltry 24 times.
Frogster has also put together a compilation video highlighting the first year of gameplay enhancements and additions, as well as a comprehensive listing of anniversary activities.

Even for someone like me that hate this free to play games! RoM is giving me a hard time to resist trying it out!

And how many of those actually played in the past 3 days? Feels like the Free Realms "X" million registered accounts PR.
Game is good except for the item mall possibilities if you want to pwn or play end-game.

It's my back-up game and is surprisingly well-done. So far I have not paid a cent to this free-to-play game but if it ever becomes my main game I'll throw them a few dollars once in a while.

Um, am I imagining things here or is the Anniversary Celebration already long over? ROFL.
Gee, I was almost getting swayed into trying it, til I read about all the wonderful things I completely missed out on because I didn't know about them in time. ;)
Back to Aion! ;)

This is not "that" bad,to be honest,it's loads of fun from lvl 1 to around 35.
This game is not unfair for F2P players...the mall isn't unbalanced crap that gives power to P2P players to 1 shot everyone in PvP.
You don't even need a mount till lvl 30 or so and you can rent them if you REALLY don't want to buy one.
Paying like 30 bucks for the game will make you able to play without ever buying again, rubies can save lots of stress during gameplay, tokens are also good to purchase mall items, all free...
You guys want to see a sad pay to win piece of crap that looks exactly like WoW? Try out Allods online, that game was fun in CBT,now it's just bad and paying users can litterally eat you faction battles.
If i were you,i'd take the opportunity and stick with RoM,other F2P mmos are piece of craps, just play this game until C9 comes out...Even Vindictus(which has source engine) won't be a hit,i played the korean version,it was such a waste of time!Yes,good graphics, other than that?FAIL,classes are gender locked,so if you want to play a mage, you'll have to stick with female characters.
Both male and female characters walk the SAME way and customization is such a failure...(you change gear and looks every 21 levels or so,and it's long as hell to level up.)
